Wonderful dining experience at Dawson's on Main! We were warmly greeted and seated right away. Our server was efficient, knowledgeable of the menu and professional with a sense of humor! The Best! We felt “right at home” at Dawson's, part of the Speedway neighborhood...loved it! Our food was served all at once, with everything all in order. Our dinners were all delicious! A very memorable evening at Dawson's!
My wife's steak was very good. My salmon was fine. The nachos were ok. It could have used more nachos on the plate.
We had a wonderful dinner! Everyone was so kind and accommodating and when my nephew dropped a side plate on the floor and it broke, the staff jumped into action! Really love Dawsons all the time, usually it's martinis with my sisters, but this time they went above and beyond to make us feel like sometimes things happen and everything is ok. Great place for any occasion!! (But especially martinis)
We chose to sit outside, so the noise was from street. We enjoyed the outdoor dining. Our server, Chad, was attentive and friendly. I very much liked my mini-wedge and French onion soup. My husband had the pot roast and it was most tender. Dawson's on Main is reliable for good food at a good price.
Excellent service. Short wait time for food. Food was very tasty. Value/price was very good. Would definitely eat there again and would recommend to my friends.
My husband and I are self proclaimed foodies and like to try new restaurants. Somehow for living in the area, we had never been to Dawson's yet, and we know people whom have recommended it. Overall, the food/service/ambiance weren't worth the price of $140- one appetizer, one drink, a split salad, and 2 entrees with tip. We are members at Cooper's Hawk and can dine there for better taste/food and better cost. My husband also said that Texas Roadhouse has better steak for better prices- another, different regular for us. My husband ordered a ribeye, for $37, we are fairly certain it was just sirloin, and not ribeye. Unfortunately we're pretty picky with salads( I don't like blue cheese, and he doesn't like cucumbers). We normally order a wedge, with ranch- and no cucumbers for him in this case. Our first salad was served with horseradish sauce or Tiger sauce as it's called? I don't like horseradish at all. Our replacement salad was served with all and only blue cheese, and cucumbers, so neither of us ate salad. I love potatoes and my side was a baked potato, but it could have used more salt. Towards the end of our meal, a large and loud party was sat next to us (we seemed to be in a party room, and the rest of the restaurant was big and open). The positives- waitress was very friendly and sweet. Martini was good. Our appetizer was good. For going out to eat being our favorite date/past time, this hole-in-the-wall-diner atmosphere and taste just wasn't worth the expensive price.
Loved our experience at Dawsons Our server was attentive The food was awesome! We have booked another reservation
Great service. Hostess was super sweet in changing seating to accommodate friend who was on walker. Our husbands both ordered the salmon. Was not very moist. It seemed a bit overcooked.
You can never go wrong at Dawson's. Service is always excellent. Salads were delicious especially topped with salmon. Fish sandwich is very nice. Super reasonable prices
I booked this because we were going to the Indianapolis Speedway Museum and it was described as a neighborhood gem. All true! Loved it.

We were promptly seated in a booth that was reserved for us which we had requested. Service was excellent. My pork chops with mashed sweet potatoes were amazing. Delicious side salad. Will be back.
You can't go wrong here, especially for lunch. My friend had the veggie wrap (the fries were YUMMY!!) and I had the salad with blue cheese, chicken, Granny Smith apples, cranberries ... Yum!
Food was fantastic for the value. Service was good considering how busy they were on a Sunday. Hot Rod Power Tour was in town - which added to the customer load. Highly recommend all their dishes!
I had the stroganoff and it was tender and cooked to perfection. My nephew had fish and chips and my niece had a chicken dish. They both said it was delicious and huge portions. Every time I have eaten at Dawson's on Main in Speedway, the food and service has been exceptional.
This restaurant is always dependable, professional, and friendly service. The food is of high quality with generous portions. I love being able to make a reservation on line and having everything set up for you upon arrival.
