This is my 'go to' place. Consistently good food and always great service. Diverse menu for lunch and dinner. Great salads, steaks, calamari etc. The prime rib on Friday and Saturday has been to die for lately. Well maintained, clean and a great local hangout. Recommend for sure. We were seated right away for our 5:15 PM reservation. We were waited on right away, and the service was great. The food was served promptly and was very good. I would recommend this place or anyone wanting a nice casual lunch or dinner.

Smoked pork chops and meatloaf are wonderful! We went on Sunday, so the menu was limited, but there are still plenty of choices. I felt the portions were small for the sides, but the meatloaf and chops were nice portions.We went at a non peak time. I felt it took a little too long for the food to arrive. The server was pleasant and attentive. It was our first time. We will go back.

I gave this place a try because I don't stay far and had never been. The restaurant is very dark and gives a dingy basement vibe. My experience was extremely lack luster. We waited 40 minutes for our food to come, but people seated after us got their food before us. I ordered the crab cake dinner with potatoe cakes and corn. The person with me ordered ribs, onion rings, and sweet mashed potatoes. When our food arrived, it was like warm. My plate looked like it was burnt. The food seriously lacked flavor. Our waitress Kiely, barely spoke to us, never came to check on us and only showed up to give us our drinks and the check. This place was disappointing to say the least. I wont be back.Parking: Parking is limited. You may have to park and walk a block to the restaurant.

We have been to Dawsons on Main multiple times! We've had a private anniversary dinner, dinner with friends, and date night dinners. Every time the service is top notch! The food has always been awesome. Just recently we went for one of the Sat/Sun special. The food, the service and atmosphere is the best!!!

Dawson's is always an enjoyable experience. Small town feel with really good food. Service is always good and responsive. A very good cut of meat used for the Filet and the potato cakes are a must have.

My bf had the chicken parm and i had the alaskan salmon. both were very yummy and cooked perfectly. the atmosphere is also very cozy which is a plus. will come again next time we’re in indy, highly recommend (:
