Definitely would recommend dining here. Made reservation for my sister & brother-in-laws anniversary. We had drinks at the tiki bar outside first then went inside for dinner. Outside ambiance was great…ordered margaritas & had a great time listening to the music & relaxing enjoying the beautiful view of the water. Bartender was Kira & she was super fun. Asked for table with a view when I made reservation but when we got there was told large party had area with best view…it was ok we still had a great dining experience. Appetizer was Bavarian pretzel…it was phenomenal…it was a meal all by itself…definitely worth it! Dinners were halibut…salmon burger…chicken sandwich & BBQ Burger…all were delicious! Ordered waffle fries with the sandwiches & they were the best we have ever had. Had martinis & they were very good. Dessert was a molten lava cake & it was amazing! We all had a great time & will definitely be dining here again.

Great place for lakeside dining! We've sat inside and outside - both are great. I especially love the blackened salmon grilled cheese with the house chips. The bruschetta was also very good. I'd stay away from the grilled veggies since they come soggy and unseasoned????. The menu is large enough for everyone to find something they like. They even have sushi!
Beautiful View of the lake. A Tiki bar to hang out on the pier. Pleasant staff and great food. Sol, our server was just awesome and did a fantastic job making our large group of 15 people comfortable. Highly recommend this place to sit out and enjoy a pleasant meal by the lake.

I want to love this waterfront dining option on Lake Wawasee as there are only 3 options for outdoor dining on the water.
The food was the best part of the visit but VERY overpriced. Yes, I get it...during summer, food costs are higher than ever, they have staff to compensate, etc. However, $31 for an "okay" grouper sandwich with fries and one Aperol Spritz for lunch is crazy.
Nice outdoor patio furniture but the inside dining area could use a thorough cleaning and fresh decor to make it current.

Me and my other half went here over the weekend and we had the scallops, hummus and grilled vegetable mix, and the smoked ribs! Amazing food! We had the best server, so caring, always on time filling our drinks, bringing out our food as soon as it comes out. I would highly recommend Anita as your server!

Our first time staying on Lake Wawasee and we boated over to the "Back Porch". We are super happy we did! We sat at a table at the outside bar and the view of the lake and atmosphere was spectacular. The food was outstanding. We had the smoked salmon grilled cheese - fantastic! Another person in our group had a filet - perfectly prepared! Two others in our group had pasta - wonderful! And to top off our dining a experience, the server staff was phenomenal!! Stephanie and Kay deserve all the stars in the universe! They delivered the perfect mix of sunny personality and service. If you are at lake Wawasee, I highly recommend you treat yourself to the dining experience at the Back Porch!

requested a blackened ribeye cooked to a medium rare, but it was served to me at a medium well to well done temperature. Additionally, the blackening seasoning was applied excessively and required scraping off. The broccolini accompaniment was also undercooked, requiring the use of my steak knife to cut it, and was nearly raw. This was the worst steak I have ever had the displeasure of consuming. Although it was late, I felt it necessary to inform my waitress of the kitchen's mistakes.
