This place is an institution. You cannot go to Indiana State University and not traverse Ballyhoo Tavern. Some of the best pizza in all of Terre Haute. It also is a full bar with amazing cocktails and draft selections.
Years ago I loved the pizza here. I just ordered one tonight, and after sticker shock at seeing the price, I went ahead and ordered a 16" sausage pizza. It came to $29.36 which included a $3 delivery tip. What arrived was a pizza that wasn't even as good as a frozen pizza from the grocery store. For one, it was ice cold and looked like a pizza that had been sitting out for a couple hours. But the flavor was just bland. Even my kid hated it, and he loves any pizza I get....
I think it goes without being said, this is the best spot on campus. Great place to pregame before the verve on weekends or just hangout with friends during the week. Cheap drinks, great music, fun time always.
