We have been coming here for years for breakfast, typically without issue. Our last visit we ordered omelettes, which we’ve had many times before. Except today when the bill came they had added an extra $1.50 and $.50 to each of our omelettes. Our menu clearly stated they were $10.95 and came with “your choice of cheese and bread.” We both ordered cheddar and NO bread. So we got LESS food than we should have. We asked the server what the extra charges were for and she said that the prices on the menu were wrong, so now they JUST ADD $.50 to every egg you get and apparently cheddar is not one of the cheeses included in “you choose?” Inflation. Fine. Update all of your menus, and that doesn’t mean write on the top of a FEW of them something confusing, that means correct pricing next to the item on the menu. You don’t get to give someone a menu that says they will get an omelette with 3 eggs and cheese, and then charge them extra for eggs and cheese. It’s is truly not about the extra money, we really liked coming here for breakfast and would have gladly continued to support your business if you needed to raise your prices. The way Bev handled the situation, and would not come out of the back to justify her decision to simply tack on extra charges, and then yell something about “they just have to pay, it is what it is.” This is not only a deceptive way of running a business, it is NOT legal. Your prices on the menu are a binding contract, not a starting point for you to tack on whatever you decide after the customer has eaten.

* Menu Accuracy: Restaurants are generally expected to honor the prices listed on physical menus provided to customers at the time of ordering.

10 stars is more appropriate. The Country Fried Steak and “homemade” mashed potatoes were excellent. Everyone was very friendly, even the other customers. The pies were perfect and not too sweet. It’s a little drive from the highway but so worth it.

Best breakfast in terre haute! Can't get much better than fresh cracked eggs, thick cut bacon, fresh fried potatoes and sourdough toast! Their biscuits and gravy are always delicious and some of the best coffee you'll get. Great place!

I was referred here by my grandma she told me they have great food and the staff was amazing. I guess grandma was very wrong. We ordered their food to go and the noodles was hard and extremely salty. Grandma and I have high blood pressure issues and are not able to have much salt. I called to explain the issue to the owner. She was extremely rude and hateful. She insisted she didn't use salt but we couldn't eat the food due to the salt and hard food. I asked If I brought back all the food could I get a full refund seeing that we couldn't eat it. She insisted that she won't refund all the money for the food since she couldn't prove we didn't eat it. I returned all the food only to be made to feel as if my opinion didn't matter to her. Also she wasn't concerned that I brought back all the food untouched. Instead she told me she didn't care and wasn't going to refund us for it. Instead she wanted to argue with me about her food and the quality of it. I only received half the money back and will never go back. I don't think they care about customer service or their opinions. I think if you want good food and great people you should look somewhere else for sure. We will never go back.

I was extremely disappointed today as I've been in restaurant management most of my life.. the beef and noodles not only were runny like soup but the noodles were hard and it was extremely salty I myself and my one daughter can I eat salt at least not bad amount of salt so when we called to ask could we bring it back they told me they would not refund the money they would give me just what it cost for the beef and noodles we took everything back thought when they seen that we couldn't eat it that we didn't eat any of it that they would be more than happy to return our money.. boy were we wrong. We were given 499 for each order of noodles. The meal was we did not eat any of it and then she was so rude and treated us terribly for asking for our money back whatever happened to customer service in my day I would have gladly refunded the money and probably would have asked them to come back and try us again apologized and been a better person. That was not the case here she told us to never come back and was hateful. I was very disappointed as was the rest of my family to know that we were treated that way. Someone should give her some lessons on how you should treat people.
