This cute little cafe is right next to the iHop. We pulled up, not sure what we wanted and the New Cafe’s parking lot was way more packed than ihop. So we followed the crowd. So glad we did! The service is wonderful, even though they were busy the wait time for food was maybe 8 minutes, and oh my the food! The food is delicious! Way better than any ihop or big chain.
This may appear to be just another average diner type restaurant but my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We aren’t from around here but were passing through looking for a place to get dinner. It’s Labor Day so we weren’t sure what would be open and what the quality of the food or staff would be like. This is a locally owned place with the friendliest staff and very fresh, good quality food! We kept it simple with a chicken melt and fries but asked for special customizations...
I was visiting my granddaughter, who is an ISU student. She raved about New Day & I totally agree with her! The food, service & atmosphere was great! And what is even better was their prices, everything was very reasonable. Will definitely go back!
