PURE GEM & PURE HEART!!!! Leave your judgment of the decor at the door and just eat some amazing scratch food by Mama with her sweet daughter doing a great job to make you feel welcome. Everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly spiced. I hope the community will help them out to turn this place into a dollhouse to go along with how great the food is. We had the cookies later with coffee and they were perfect. This is a rare treat. I am from Los Angeles and know good farm food. I have supported small places like this and watched them flourish. PLEASE GIVE this place a chance. It delightfully authentic, scratch made and delicious! This needs to be on Triple D and then expand to a monster kitchen if Momma would let anyone else cook. Yummy and TY for the experience and our time together! Lastly, I would love to know where Mama gets her tomatoes... Rumor is that the

We stopped, passing through to Ohio. If we lived closer, we’d be here frequently! The African Sweet soup that was recommended, was the best ever! The other options looked fantastic, too!!! Nice atmosphere and super friendly!

Don’t have photos because my phone died. Came here with my daughter on a sick day from school. She had the barbecue chicken sanwich, and I had pastrami. We both loved our sandwiches, but the chicken and rice soup was absolutely amazing!! Everything is made from scratch. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We will be back!! At ten bucks; A soup and half sanwich deal was the same price/less as a McDonald’s meal, but we left feeling full and satisfied, rather than that full but nasty feeling. We need more mom and pop places like this and less fast food!!

A nice quaint place for a good meal. The turkey Manhattan was good, but could have used a small bit of salt for my taste.(I tend to like things a little salty) The bread and potatoes were a different take than I've had before and it was refreshing. I enjoyed the mash baked potato as it was cut up rather than fully mashed into what normally is on a Manhattan. The gravy was had a good consistency that stuck to bread without making it soggy. The bread itself had been toasted nicely as well.
The soup was nice and acidic with a rich taste without being over seasoned allowing one to enjoy the tomatoes and basile together.
The Latka were a little soft for me, but this didn't take away from their flavor.
Family owned and operated this restaurant's staff was polite and open for conversation about the food and even suggestions as to what to have.
I even noticed them making sure a customer knew which choices of food had gluten when ordering.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available here!
Parking: Parking lot is small and exiting can be an issue depending on road you're trying to go on and time of day.

I have friends who live nearby and have had the pleasure of eating here several times, though it has been at least a year now. Each time I had the same item, the Nepalese Egg Roll Up, and for good reason. It is quite easily my favorite breakfast item I have ever had and I sincerely still dream about getting back to Terre Haute and having another whenever possible.
