My husband had the Salmon and loved it. I had the grilled Jumbo Shrimp, Sweet Potato Casserole and also the Lobster Bisque. All were very good and I couldn't finish my meal as it was so filling. Our friends had the Pork Shank and the special Lasagna and French Onion soup. The Pork Shank was very good, however, the Lasagna was not up to expectations. The Drinks and service were GR8!!! The atmosphere and the structure itself is a prize establishment for Terre Haute. Also, the warm bread served is fantastic, we ordered extra.

The food was generally pretty good but the French onion soup had some funky cheese on it which I didn't like but maybe it's just a personal thing. The mashed potatoes were cold but the steaks were cooked properly and we're very tasty. As usual the bread was fantastic The service was second to none every facet of it was fantastic!

We visited Stables for the first time for our Anniversary. Our waitress was one of the best we have ever had. The food was amazing. My husband who normally does not eat sweets fell in love with the Bread Pudding. We will definitely be back very soon.

Two of his ordered grilled chicken & 1 ordered the blackened chicken. Portion size exceeded our expectations. The chicken was prepared in a manner that resulted in very tender chicken breasts. Wedge salad & garden salad were both great. I originally ordered the balsamic dressing on the side & I was thankful because it was a little bit tart for my taste buds. The ranch & French dressings were tasty. The caesar salad arrived at table without dressing & parmesan cheese but was quickly remedied. Service was outstanding. We will be returning as we all agreed it was a great dining experience.

Stables is a Chicago-class restaurant in Terre Haute. The wait staff is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The food is delicious and has come out perfectly every time we have gone.

Peter was our waiter and he was fantastic. He explained the history of the building and the restoration process to us in great detail. The food was 5/5 and was explained very well when any questions were asked. Amazing dining experience and since we went for my girls birthday we got the bread pudding at the end of the meal and it was phenomenal.
