A fantastic place for a private event right in the heart of downtown Terre Haute. Affordable, flexible, and customizable. Great communication upon booking. They allowed me to bring in my own deserts and decor, made us a beautiful charcuterie board, allowed us to play a video on their TV, and we had two fantastic bartenders helping us all night. Thank you! Highly recommend.

First time visit tonight. Great mushroom appetizer and chicken tenders meal. Bartender was kind and attentive. Portions were ample and will definitely go back again. This is a local eatery and watering hole to support.

My experience with the Copper Bar was a celebration for work anniversary in the upstairs area. Seemed like a neat place with the small town gem kinda feeling with a little city swank. The stairs are leaning quite noticably and are just kinda shady. The food setup was really nice looking and had a very big charcuterie section. The boneless wings were fine. I thought the service was just ok. While there the machine would not read my credit card which has no problem anywhere else.

Beer on tap wasn’t that cold and the food came out smelling a bit like wet dog water which makes me think their dishes aren’t the cleanest. We got mozzarella sticks and the chicken tenders and BOTH of the dishes smelled weird like that. The bartender also harassed my wife over her ID and then said her student ID was fine (along with the birthdate ID, she didn’t just take the student id lol that would be illegal I think) Not the biggest fan of the service which is why I gave it a 1 star and not a 2. The saving grace is the nice vibes the decorations and aesthetic have on the inside but honestly, just hop a bar over and the beer is significantly more cold.

Probably the best pickle chips and chicken tenders I’ve ever had. Simple breading, but very good. The staff were friendly and attentive.
A little noisy at times, but for a Friday night, not too bad. Will definitely stop again if I should return to Terre Haute. Thank you.

My husband and I were traveling home from Evansville. We stopped at Copper Bar and hit the jackpot! I went to college in Evansville for 4 years and have been traveling back there for 2 years and I honestly never knew there was more to Terre Haute than the main highway down 41 (which is not impressive). I knew Larry Bird once had a restaurant there, so we looked it up and it lead us to the Copper Bar! It has wall-to-wall Larry Bird and Indiana State memorabilia. The waitress was great and so was the food. I had a delicious Bloody Mary with yummy garnish and my husband was very happy with the draft selection. There is an upstairs that would be great for a rehearsal dinner or private party. They let us check it out and it has even more memorabilia and Sports Illustrated covers!!! Then we learned there is a Larry Bird museum next door. We walked through and my husband throughly enjoyed it!! It's free and well worth the stop for a sports fan. We were impressed with the Copper Bar and it helped change our opinion of Terre Haute...we will be back!
