Sugar Studio has quickly become my go-to spot for all things sweet! Whether it’s their perfectly moist cakes, rich and fudgy brownies, or their unbelievably good cakeshakes, everything they serve is top-tier. The variety is amazing and every item I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put real love into what they do. I recently picked up a custom cookie cake for a celebration, and not only did it look stunning, but it tasted even better. My guests couldn’t stop talking about it!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Sugar Studio is a must-visit.

I want to provide an honest and detailed review of my recent order, as I believe it’s important for businesses to receive constructive feedback, especially when service and product quality fall short of expectations.

First, the brownie I received took an excessive amount of time to be delivered, despite appearing to be a pre-packaged item. According to the DoorDash tracking system—which provides real-time updates on when a driver arrives and how long they’re waiting—my dasher was at your location for approximately 40 minutes before receiving the order. This prolonged wait time is unacceptable for a single, pre-made item and reflects poorly on your internal operations. Shifting blame onto DoorDash or the customer for delays that were clearly on your end is both unprofessional and misleading.

As for the product itself, it was quite disappointing. The brownie had multiple hard, flavorless chunks that appeared to be unadvertised chocolate pieces. If the item is meant to be a chocolate chunk brownie, that should be clearly reflected in the product name. Otherwise, customers reasonably expect a soft, classic brownie texture. The one I received was so dense and hard it bordered on unpleasant, with a risk of hurting someone’s mouth—particularly children or elderly individuals.

The flavor was unremarkable, lacking anything unique or memorable. Frankly, I could have achieved a better result baking at home with basic ingredients. The frosting was also underwhelming. While it wasn’t overly sweet, it had a heavy, dense consistency—not the light, whipped texture typically associated with buttercream. It separated easily from the brownie, further indicating a lack of quality control. Decorative elements like the gold flakes were sloppily placed and did nothing to elevate the experience.

More concerning is the lack of transparency and accountability from your company. If a product contains crunchy, potentially hazardous elements, this should be clearly disclosed. And if your system updates continue to show that an item is “being prepared” while a driver waits nearly an hour, that’s a process issue on your end—not DoorDash’s or the customer’s.

Lastly, it’s the responsibility of your team to ensure your product descriptions are accurate and consistent across all platforms, including delivery apps. That is not something customers should have to investigate or resolve.

In summary, my experience involved a lengthy delay, a poorly executed product, and a dismissive response from your team. Instead of acknowledging the issue, blame was placed on external partners and consumers. This shows a troubling lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for your customer base. I sincerely hope you take this feedback to heart, because continuing down this path will only alienate the very people you’re trying to serve.

I live in Georgia but wanted some cupcakes and a small cake for my Aunts 95th Birthday celebration to be held at the American Legion. Die to a medical thing, I couldn’t travel to be there, but Sugar Studio really came through for me! They delivered when they said they would, and for a small fee, and the cupcakes and cakes have got great reviews from everyone!! I’d say they are rave reviews!! Thank you Sugar Studio for making my part such a success!! Highly recommend this bakery to everyone!!

We ordered brownies (triple chocolate and peanut butter) for an event, and they were perfect! They were cut into brownie bites and individually frosted. We were thrilled that they offered that as an option (definitely helped with our budget) and everyone loved them!

Such a cute little shop! Everybody is always so nice! And their sweets are absolutely amazing!

Just wow! So I had my sweet baby at Union hospital and we received a cake from sugar studio from nursing staff. The cake was absolutely delicious and I immediately called to get a Mother’s Day cake ordered. THE CAKE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS! I just called to custom order my families birthday cakes and I cannot be more excited! This bakery knows how to make a delicious cake and beautifully done as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stopped in for the first time and got 2 dozen cupcakes, brownies and a slice of wedding cake. It was quite possibly the best cake I've ever had. Service was quick and friendly and it was reasonably-priced. I will be back in the future.

We chose Sugar Studio by Tiers of Elegance based on a recommendation for a small, simple one-tier wedding cake, and they exceeded our expectations in every way. After sharing an example photo and description of our vision, they went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. A day or so before the wedding, they reached out to let us know that a product they ordered for the cake details didn’t meet their standards and wanted to ensure we were comfortable with a slight design change. Their commitment to quality and our vision was incredible, especially for such a small cake. In the end, the cake was beautiful—exactly as I’d envisioned—and it tasted amazing! We couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

the wedding cake was delicious. my son was able to eat it safely with his food allergies and loved it. also tried the peanut butter cupcake and was soo delicious!!

Thank you Sugar Studio! They made the cake and cupcakes for our wedding in June of 2022 which were DELICIOUS! We decided to have them make our little one’s first birthday cake. They did a wonderful job! It was beautiful and tasty! Thanks again!

We drove all the way from Plainfield only to discover that many of their menu items were not available. The cupcakes were ok. Very underwhelming.

My wife and I stopped by Sugar Studio about 2 weeks ago to order a gender reveal cake (after I had called a month prior for general information). While telling the young lady at the counter what we were thinking and how we wanted the cake to be made we were told they would not dye the cake, that they would only do a layer of icing or butter cream in the middle.

When I called that month prior, they seemed to be willing to do anything. Guess I was wrong. Oddly enough, Baesler's Market's bakery WILL do anything. And guess what. It turned out amazing. Guess you CAN dye cake batter.

It's shameful that a place that SHOULD be capable of doing simple things, especially for custom cakes and confectionery items, just isn't. I don't know if this place makes all their items in bulk (with the hopes of people buying) or if they just decorate frozen cakes like larger places do (Walmart, Meijer, etc), but that would be shameful.

We will not be coming back in the future for confectionery items, we will go to the real winner in Terre Haute, Baesler's Market.
