Just amazing, customer service was awesome. Very sweet and our dinner was brought out quickly. The food is awesome and very affordable. I love how the BBQ has the smokey sweet taste. Mac n cheese was really good. Can't believe this place was right in our neighborhood and we just now found it. Definitely be coming back soon.

I now have a new #1 place to eat!Seriously great food. The green beans were seasoned so good that I asked for seconds. Pulled pork and rib tips, smokey and tender. My wife and I were taken care of by two different ladies with smiles and they checked in on us often. Thank you ladies for the best service.Uncle Jr's does it right. And if you wanna get right, you better get there.

We got there as they were closing early for the day. No big deal. The wait wasn't too bad, the man who took our order was patient with my dad who's visiting from out of state. Good experience there. We ordered the brisket, rib tips, kids mac n cheese, and had some coleslaw, collards, green beans, and more mac n cheese. My son refused to eat the mac n cheese after tasting it, but he's a bit on the picky side. My daughter added some salt, pepper, and cayenne to both her and her brothers serving, and then ate both. The meat was good, i'd say the brisket was a little on the dry side, but the yummy sauce helped make up for that. I don't like collards, so I can't say much on that, my dad ate it and didn't complain. I really liked the green beans, they had a nice buttery garlic flavor. The mac n cheese was meh. I feel like it probably didn't have enough cheese in it, but the texture was good, and it wasn't inedible. All in all, I like this place much better than other BBQ places I've tried around town.

I highly recommend! Support local and help this place expand. I had the pork chops, corn pudding, and Mac n cheese. It was all good. They put a seasoning on the Mac and my kids loved it. My kids are basic and don’t like seasonings. Lol

Collard greens were good and the Mac n cheese was a little more salty than I prefer. Very friendly service.

Driving past and the sweet smell of BBQ sauce and cooking meat caught my attention and I stopped. The restaurant was clean, the service great and the food AMAZING!! I ordered the rib tips, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. The rib tips were cooked perfectly (tender and covered in a delicious sauce). The collards were seasoned perfectly and one of the best I've ever had. The macaroni and cheese was delicious with melted cheese strings with each forkful definitely wasn't a cheap out of the box quickie) and seasoning on top. The service was quick and friendly making sure everything was good. THIS RESTAURANT IS A MUST STOP DESTINATION!!

Wow! This Kentucky boy needed some BBQ while in Terre Haute. After searching the local offerings, Uncle Jr's BBQ was the obvious choice. The decor/atmosphere was perfect. Then came the food! We ordered ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. The quality and taste was top-notch, and the service was fantastic! The owner even came out to chat with us, and made us feel right at home!

Decided to try this place last night around 7. Out of pulled pork. Simply ordered something else. I had the brisket. I have always known brisket as being slices.. what was served was a big pile of shredded something with about a gallon of sauce. My son had ribs and they were way overcooked. My wife and other son had rib tips, tough and nasty. Sides were not any better. In order to pay I had to knock on the kitchen door as nobody was at the counter forever. The girl that came out said that next time I was there she would appreciate it if I did not knock on the door.Not an issue because I will never go back. Such a disappointment because I was looking forward to a good local owned BBQ place in Terre Haute. Service was horrible and the food was worse. Worse place in the world. Took about two bites and threw the rest in the trash. Don't even consider this place. ***UPDATE *** The owner made it right and refunded our money. He seemed sincere and I'm sure he wants his business to succeed. I hope the best for him and wish his business well. He said he would address his staff. Hopefully they listen and help him to be a successful restaurant owner.

The food is fire!!! The atmosphere is very cool and chill. Great priced. But the cherry on top was the service. The young man working went above and beyond to take great care of us. We found this place by chance while in from out of town and will definetly be recommending this place and coming back when back in town! Yall are doing amazing, keep it up!!!

Uncle Jrs BBQ is by far the best place to eat in the Haute. I'm not just saying this because we're family but due to the simple fact that this food really is the best. Everything is prepared, seasoned, and cooked perfect. No other place has the flavors you'll find at this restaurant. Pull up, you'll see... God Bless!

Y'all this food is FABULOUS!!!! The brisket was so juicy and the sauce is just the right amount of sweet and spice. The mac and cheese tasted so fresh and homemade! The collards tasted just like my momma made them!! Hands down the best food I have had in restaurant in a hot minute!!! The staff was extra nice as well, such a welcomed environment as well!! This whole restaurant is just a vibe in itself. The way they make you feel like family is not just a saying here, it's actually their way of operating!!! If you are ever in Terre Haute, come here, you won't be disappointed!!!!

I have to admit this place is hands down one of the best BBQ restaurants in TH. The food was great,reasonably priced,and most importantly the service was above and beyond what anyone can expect. The brisket,and chops were smoked/cooked to perfection. I'm normally not a fan of pork chops on a bone but the way they cooked them made me want more and not care. The corn pudding was hands down to die for,only thing I'm disappointed about was I only got one bite of the pudding and the wife/kids ate the rest needless to say I'll have to order extra next time I take out. Definitely 10 out of 10 and once again the service was above and beyond. I'll be looking forward to eating out here again.

Great BBQ place. Love the vibe when you enter the store. Very clean. Very roomy. Friendly welcome. The owner came out and talked to us and gave us a little history on his restaurant. Awesome atmosphere. Great music in the background. Then we ate...I had the best half rack of ribs. Tender, falling off the bone rib meat with a great flavorful sauce. I had sweet cornbread casserole (awesome) and green beans as my sides with an unsweetened tea. Chief tried the rib tips and said they were tender and very flavorful. We left Uncle Jr's very full of delicious BBQ. I'm glad I found this place because I will be back. If you're a BBQ fan, you must give Uncle Jr a try. You'll love it.
