Excellent little bakery. They have a few tables so we ate breakfast inside, but it is tight. It is a popular place and got very busy about 9 am.

Some of the absolute best homemade donuts that I’ve had in a long time! The cream filled long john’s with chocolate frosting were phenomenal. I also tried the apple fritter, Bavarian cream long john, and apple muffin.. all were delicious. No matter what you get here they will not disappoint. They were made fresh that morning.. I would 100% recommend The Bakery House!!

Go here! Buy anything! Eat it, and i can almost guarantee your day will get a little better. The ladies that bake all of those delicious confections love their jobs. And you can taste it in every bite. The prices won't break you by any means. There's a decent selection for the drive-thru. (But go in, trust me) They will make special orders tho it's a bit more pricy. It's so worth it. Masters of their craft, This is probably the best review I've ever left an establishment. I always find a con to the pros cause...I'm that kind of guy. The con is that this place will ruin any grocery or gas station imposter cakes for you forever. Little Debbie's? Hostess? No I'll not be having that anymore.

Destination type of place. HOMECOOKING at its finest. Breakfast, lunch and Bakery. Everything fresh and prepared perfectly. Ann and the whole staff are professional and comforting. Feels like grandma's house on a Sunday. All of the donuts and pastry are oversized. Breakfast platter is the way to eat. Wish I could find a place like this everywhere we travel. The giant cinnamon rolls are only $4. Prices are very reasonable.

I had lemon cupcakes and they were phenomenal! My mom got an apple fritter and it was gone quick. I love the atmosphere of the place and they have so many choices. Would totally come and try their treats again!

We have such a great local bakery, and I must say, the experience is both great and concerning. The owner and the staff are nothing short of awesome—friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about their craft. The ambiance transports you to a simpler time, where community and conversation are first.

However, my enjoyment was tempered by a troubling health concern that has become all too common in our modern food industry. They fry their donuts in seed oils, which, let's be honest, are not just oils but should be considered poison. These oils have been linked to a host of health issues, from inflammation to heart disease, due to their high levels of omega-6 fatty acids and the oxidative damage they cause when heated.

I would urge the owners to consider a switch to beef tallow. Not only does it harken back to traditional cooking methods—methods used long before the advent of industrial seed oils—but it's also a healthier alternative with a better fatty acid profile. Beef tallow can withstand higher temperatures without breaking down, ensuring that the donuts are not only
delicious but also less harmful to our health.

Let's support our local businesses, but let's also encourage them to make choices that benefit our community's health. Here's hoping for a change to tallow at the fryer!

I stopped in Sunday morning about 8am. Not too busy. They have quite an extensive collection of bakery items, candy, cookies as well as a breakfast menu.
I asked if they had apple fritters. I ordered 2 to go sight unseen. They were HUMONGOUS. One would have been plenty. (Saved one for the following morning). Very fresh and soft with lots of apples. Great little bakery in Washington, IN., a gem in a small town. They're lucky to have a bakery like this.
(There are two others in town I didn't get to try). 5 *****

I ordered a delicious croissant breakfast sandwich and a cherry danish. Both were incredibly tasty and fresh.

Started with flavorful donuts & muffins before diving into delicious chicken & dumplings with stuffing and green beans. Next time I'm going to finish with Ho-Ho cake. Bakery House has a small gift shoppe and is in the quaint town of Washington, Indiana with East Side Park nearby. I'm kind of jealous. I could live there.
