We kept hearing great things about the fried chicken. It totally lived up to the hype! The food is really good. The homemade ham and bean soup is very good. We'll have to try some homemade dessert another time. The prices are very good as well. Enjoyed the small town friendly atmosphere. Check out the Tavern. You won't be disappointed! ??

I came back. I just love the delicious Tenderloin sandwich that this place serves. Hand breaded and spiced to my liking. The straight cut french fries are hot and tasty. The service is friendly and the place is inviting. What a great find in this scenic, out of the way part of Indiana.

Chicken is amazing but service has declined since several staff no longer work there. The food is excellent one day and horrible the next. We used to go 2x a week but now maybe once or twice a month. It's really declining and used to be my favorite place.

The food was ok but we didn’t like that our waitress was a kid. We were waiting for a better staff service not a kid. We are only kids for once in life. She has all the adulthood to be working so for now she should be enjoying her childhood so why would she even be there? I personally think it gives a bad view of this place and not a good service that should be taking care of an experience waitress. For now we have decided to not go there again.

Best fried chicken ever! Every time my family and I threw up to visit my parents for the holidays. We have to stop in and get there fried chicken.
Great place to visit in St Leon! Nice seating and bar area. We visited in December and the inside was very festive. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered their famous fried chicken and it was definitely made to order as it was hot, juicy and tender. Someone came in to pick up two large coolers full of the chicken for a party so it is definitely popular. The mashed potatoes and gravy and the cole slaw were both great sides to accompany the chicken. The dessert menu looked fantastic but too full to try...maybe next time!
