I really like Grindhouse! Their sandwiches are yummy, as well as their baked goods. I wish they would bring back the curry tofu sandwich! I know lots of people that really loved that sandwich and were disappointed when they took it off the menu this year. Bring it back!

After riding our bikes down from Chicago on a hot summer day, this place was everything we could have hoped for. Staff was nice and helpful, there were a couple craft vegan sandwiches on the menu, which we ordered. They were delicious and really hit the spot - along with a couple of vegan smoothies which we ordered as well. The place was super cute, too, and reminded me of how traditional coffee houses used to be before Starbucks came along. Loved it. We’ll definitely return on our next trip this way.

Second time here in a years time. Coffee was great, the girl who took my order was very timid and shy. I asked for a recommendation for a place to get lunch and a beer, and she was kinda clueless. Atmosphere is really cool, I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
Tried this cafe for the first time today and had the turkey dojo, chips, and a chocolate scone. Don't know why I haven't tried this before because it was really good. Was skeptical about apples but it actually works w this sandwhich. Super close to work and its nice having a real food option rather than the processed greasy options we normally order from. Cant wait to try their other sandwiches.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yep it’s 5 stars for Grindhouse Coffee in Whiting—this place is the caffeinated cat’s pajamas! I popped in and was promptly seduced by a ham and apple sandwich that was basically a love letter to my taste buds—savory, sweet, and a little sassy, just like I like’m 😅
The caramel coffee? A liquid hug that whispered, “You’ve got this,” with every sip. And don’t get me started on the chocolate chip scone—it was like a warm, crumbly hug from a cocoa-dusted angel.
The vibe is cozy (could use more diverse music selection), but the staff is cooler than a cold brew, and the menu is a masterclass in deliciousness.
Do yourself a favor and make Grindhouse your new haunt—you’ll thank me when you’re sipping caramel dreams and munching on sandwich perfection!
