The height of Covid when all businesses were closed in chicago.. this little hidden food oasis kept their doors open.. and as a result..became my favorite breakfast restaurant almost weekly.. I’ve never had a bad experience.. they don’t miss.. thanks guys for your hospitality and great comfort

Comfort food that is tasty!Very clean cozy restaurant.Servers are very nice & efficient.Employees always keepon top of cleaning tables, etc,Seating is limited during breakfast & lunch hours. Only one toilet stall Available in the ladies room. cashier/hostess is not friendly.parking not great

Great little diner off the highway.. you pass industrial factories on the way which are quite impressive. The food was amazing and the service was great. We had the country fried steak and the chocolate chip pancakes... coffee was tasty. Price was easy on the wallet as well.

We ordered takeout this morning for breakfast... Wifey had a skillet and I had a pork chop special.The pluses:You get a decent amount of food for the price..Order was complete relatively quickly.Pancakes were decent...The minuses:Nothing was cooked with any seasoning... no salt... NOTHING!!! (Salt & pepper were included as condiments)...My pork chops were overcooked, too the point that one was just inedible (see pic)..The weird:Each order came with 2 pancakes. For some reason they were placed in the same to-go container! That made no sense to us, what if we weren't 'sharers ' like that?Parking: Restaurant is located in central business district and parking is scarce in a Saturday morning.

First time at this place and we all really enjoyed it. Sunday brunch time was busy but didn't feel rushed. It was enjoyable and quiet considering it was packed. Very reasonable prices for the amount of food.
They don't wear hair nets hair in my food. Girl in kitchen hair done like we are at a night club nasty ?

This restaurant in Whiting, IN is a hidden gem.I ordered an egg special with bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. It's a basic breakfast but a really good meal. My husband got the Melting Pot skillet which comes with ham, bacon and sausage and a side of pancakes. We both got a drink and the bill was only $23!!! Unbelievable price!! We usually pay at least $40 for the two of us.
