Wasn’t bad, but I’ve had much better Italian food. Definitely overpriced for what you get. $30 for 6 raviolis? $50 for 3 small bites of pork tenderloin? $72 for Angus strip that was extremely rare. My son ordered it medium well, although they tried to convince him to order it medium rare. You pay for each refill on soft drinks. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was good. Only 3 tables of customers on a Saturday evening for a reason. The other place on main st in Zionsville is much better for less money too.
Amazing food. Great ambience.
A part of me doesn't want to review this place, because it's so special. I'd love to keep it for myself and those who live nearby whom I've seen in cycles when we re-visit. But that'd just be selfish. If you're within an hour - hell, two hours - you should come experience Good Omen.
A family affair, the place bleeds dedication to craft. The staff believably serves as if they love being there. The vibe? Hip enough to feel like a night out, but homey enough to invite a drop-in at the bar while waiting to pick up your kid from basketball practice.
The food is exquisite. Italian-centered with flares of Midwest seasonality in the produce and proteins. Frittura: delicate. Meats: at perfect prep. The pasta: al dente, inventive and won't disappoint the Hoosier portion-size demands ;)
Deja and James run a wine program like hungry start-up founders. They are equipped with what you expect if you're particular, but innovative in sourcing and pairing to surprise you if you'll let them.
Nico - a maestro. Shout out to Ashley and Mama Gattone on the ones and twos!
We just left a wine tasting, and my spouse turned to me and said: "You know, every time I leave that place, I just feel happier."
Ditto. It's a secret that I don't want to keep secret. Check them out. You deserve to be happy too.

Good Omen has no business being THIS good. This unassuming restaurant in Zionsville, IN parallels the fine dining cuisines in NYC or LA. If you come, which you must if you’re within an hours drive, buckle in and let the staff take you for the best ride of your life with their recommendations for both food and wine! I cannot stress how incredible this place is and how friendly the staff is, thank you James and Ashley!!

This is a dining experience with a very European feel. Great wine list and amazing food. We ordered many different things and everything was delicious. Our server, Deja, was incredible. They competently described what we would get and how many servings it would be if shared. The flavor palette we experienced was so fun, hard to describe but lovely.
Recommend reservations. We went early and it was quiet but was busy by the time we left.

Once again, Chef Nicholas hit it out of the park for us. We started with fried ricotta filled squash blossoms. Delicious and a short-lived seasonal delicacy. We moved to two pasta dishes that sounded extraordinary: ink lumarche with calamari and spaghetti vongole using little neck clams. Chef suggested we order them simultaneously because there is a slight time lag in their preparation time Each was perfectly prepared and flavorful, but we could not finish it all. We elected to finish the vongole and pack the remainder of the lumarche for home. Next we ordered a salad the included chick peas with very fresh romaine. That, too, was lovely. Finally, we ordered the olive oil cake that came with strawberries. It was a fitting dessert that was perfectly sized. We washed everything down with a Vermentino de Sardegna, a refreshing white wine that pairs well with seafood and pasta. Our service was outstanding with Ashley as the primary, but every one pitching in. It should be mentioned that I have a peculiar food allergy and everyone there was on the lookout for problems. Of course we will be back.
Small portions for the price. They serve it so it can be shared but this is certainly not priced for tapas type dining. The value proposition just not present. We had one dish that no one at our table liked. It was not offered to replace it with something else nor was it taken off our check. As a matter of fact the server asked if we wanted to take it home! Uh no thank you! Be prepared to leave hungry. ☹️

The food was a major disappointment, from the overly salty appetizers, bland main dish, and flat out poor tasting deserts. To top it off, the kitchen was very slow. This restaurant is way overpriced and offers low quality meals. Convivio is a much better restaurant at a fraction of the cost.
Good Omen was wonderful!! From when we walked in until we left everyone was so friendly, Menu was so interesting and our server did an excellent job in answering our questions Food was fabulous from our salads to the dessert!! We'll definitely dine there again

Good Omen is 10/10 and one of the best places to eat in the area. I’m from a northern Italian family, so it’s really nice to have some Northern Italian food in the area. It’s really hard to find. I know the building looks unassuming from the outside, but go in and try it! It’s really special.

Really disappointed with our experience at Good Omen. While menu was impressive on paper, most of the dishes were mediocre and the price point relative to the quality of the food was ridiculous. The number of servers were insufficient when the restaurant got busy and the (owner?) did nothing to help when service was behind. In fact, watched her look out the window for several minutes while we sat with empty wine glasses during our main course. Also, while we told the restaurant we were celebrating a milestone occasion when we made the reservation , this information was not passed along to our server. Definitely not planning to go back.

We are not often caught off guard with a good restaurant but Good Omen did just that. From the fried olives to the octopus the appetizer experience was amazing. Once we got into the pastas, the ramp pesto pasta and the duck Bolognese were absolutely exquisite! The backstory of the chef was a wonderful factoid that explained why everything was so incredibly delicious. From a Michelin star background to just wanting to make good food, this Chef takes flavor to a whole new level. Good Omen is exactly what it says it is; a sign that fine dining does not have to go away, it just needs to relax.

Before dining here, I had read great things about the food but didn’t know much what else to expect. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and felt as if we would be dining at a friends house. Our waitress did a great job walking us through the menu and answering any questions about food items. Each person got their own meal choice but we all shared everything as the food comes out as ready. My husband and I will come back frequently for the duck bolognese alone (it was so good that we ordered a second one during dinner). The lamb lollipops, steak, and other pasta dishes were all seasoned well. Not overly crazy with ingredients but just unique enough to be different yet incredibly delicious. They don’t have their liquor license but that isn’t a drawback in my opinion and they have a wide selection of beers and wines. (We also had our 7 month old with us and they had a really nice high chair and sippy cup for her.)
