The fried chicken was a bit overrated since it could use some more seasoning, the breast was a little bit dry. At least the breading was well-seasoned. The sides especially the fruits were overrated to since the pears had a slight mealy texture to it. On the bright side, the mashed potatoes and creamed corn were delicious along with the rolls. The cole slaw was a little too sweet. The ice cream however was not very creamy since there were some ice chunks in it. The dining room was well-decorated with late 19th-century era furnishings and decorations. The experience was good since I've came in with an empty stomach, left with my stomach full at the end of the meal including ice cream, and the staff were friendly.

Just as good as advertised. The fried chicken dinner was plentiful, crispy and juicy. The biscuits tasty. Dinner included corn, Cole slaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. More than half had to be packed up to bring home. So delicious!!

I rarely give 5-stars anywhere in the world. But this place is great. To answer a question many may have since the website isn't clear, you don't choose 1-2 sides from those listed. Instead you get them ALL! Family style sides are included with your protein.
I'd recommend a reservation but most days I bet they can squeeze you in. So you choose your meal online and arrive with your ticket ready at the counter. You're seated and immediately a plate of peaches, sweet apples, sweet pickles and cold slaw comes out, all very good. Then with your main course you get family style (including refills) sweet corn, masked potatoes and brown gravy, rolls and maybe something else. We got enough on this $25/person meal that we took home enough for two more meals. Oh and then you get homemade ice cream.
Can't recommend enough great place to dine. Enjoy!

My wife and I had the chicken it was very good. Ewe didn't realize that one of us can order chicken and the other could order beef. So next time that's what we will do. The cream corn is really good. The skin on mashed potatoes was good but I ain't a real big fan of mashed potatoes, but the were good. We will be back. The biscuits were good but no strawberry jam. Kinda disappointed bout tgat.

Lip print on napkin. Waitress said lots of them were permanently stained that’s all there was. Only one waitress working entire restaurant for lunch. She did her best but no tables were bussed after use so lots of dirty dishes everywhere. Glass had a chipped rim. Hostess made no attempt to help out in any way. Just sat and watched and waited for people coming and going. Six oz glass of iced tea is $3.50 on top of your meal??? Unbelievable. Rate the strawberry jam???? We didn’t get any

If you are looking to enjoy the old Brookville Hotel chicken dinner, do not go to the hotel. Very disappointed in the greeting, service and food. The biscuits are store bought, the chicken pale in color and the mashed potatoes are full of skins. They don't even serve the white chicken gravy anymore. Sad to see the old Brookville Hotel gone forever.

We made reservations per the request of the restaurant. And the food was okay but the beef option was not worth ever getting. It was dry and not flavorful. DONT get the beef! The chicken was okay but needed salt badly! And was VERY greasy. By no means the best I have had. But the sides were super good and my kids lived on the bread, potatoes, and corn! Those were the star. As for the staff ??♀️ the front lady couldn’t find our labeled table because they label reservation tables. So we walked all over looking with her each table. Then we sat at a table with dirty sugar dishes and what not in the middle of the table. Even though you preorder your meals when you do your reservation it took us 30 minutes to get food. She said it was because she kept taking our food to the wrong table ??♀️ so much so she had given some of our sides to the wrong table and had to come bring us fresh ones. After getting our meal we never got checked on for drinks or anything until we got our ice cream (which comes as part of your meal) we were a small group of four, my husband and I with our two kids (3yo, 1.5yo) One good thing they do have going for them is in the men’s bathroom they do have a changing table which is nice. After our experience my family would not choose to go back. But I have to say if you want a meal of just sides they do have good sides!
