Was good food
Any time I go thru Andover I go here.
Kinsey is the best. Very helpful and pleasant as a bartender Thank you Kinsey we enjoyed our evening
Sigh. We had a few good lunches at Spaulding's. However, the service has gotten very slow. The staff is friendly, but there's only ever one or two servers. They forget add-ons, even after suggesting them. Forget about getting a water refill.
On 5/23/25 we went there at 2PM for lunch. We got water and menus quick, then got ignored. We left after 20 minutes. We went to Wendy's and saw another family that sat next to us come there too. They had the same treatment.
Unfortunately we didn't have a very good experience. The place was slow for a Saturday night but our service was slower. Often we had to grab our own drinks that were sitting at the bar because our server was no where to be found. Mixed reviews on food. My husband got the tacos and liked them. I got the hot roast beef (which I've had before). However, this time it was very different. The roast beef was like deli meat cooked on a flat top. It was paper thin. Very disappointing. We had a group of 7 and would have stayed longer and spent more money if the service was better.
To late.
Great place and amazing staff.
I love having Spauldings as a local place to hang out but EVERY time they are short staffed. Thursday is trivia night…always short staffed but packed so it takes forever for food. Tonight…2 people working but have a pool league. Something has to give. You can’t keep having events that aren’t staffed and expecting everyone to wait an unrealistic time…and I mean like 25 minutes for food. I feel for the wait staff because after awhile surely they get sick of it.
Spaulding's is a great "townie" bar. Family friendly with good food, good staff, and good daily specials. Lots of TVs and multiple sports are on all the time. Taco Tuesday is always good and they have Trivia Thursday nights. Decent draft beer selection and a full bar. Pool tables and a few electronic games too. GOOD TIMES!!
Spaulding's is my second favorite place in Andover to be beside my own home. Wife and I get out once a week minimum for a quick drink and some time away together. The staff is the best I have ever encountered in any bar across the U.S. and they treat you like family from the first time you walk through the doors.
Amazing place to watch sports and just have a great time with people who have the same agenda as you if you are looking to enjoy an evening. Never any trouble in there, and if there is, there are ten good fellas in there that will escort them out post haste. It's a place that has pride in the establishment and employees and it shows.
Come on in and have a good time and if you are hungry, be prepared to be amazed by what's whipped up in the kitchen. I've never had anything there that wasn't delicious. Tons of families roll through and eat so don't just think Spaulding's is just a bar.

Not a good value for the money. Seemed more of a microwave thing.

Like the food, but needs some acoustics help. When they are busy you can’t even have a conversation with yourself!

Went for taco Tuesday. Rude waitress. Bland tacos. They charge extra for salsa.
