I liked the atmosphere more than the other Mexican restaurant in town. As far as service, what service? Our waiter barely understood our order & never came back, I don't think he was even the one to drop our food off. Luckily we didn't really have a need for him.

Food was ok, hard cheese not melted in cheese burrito Tostado wet and sloppy couldn't pick it up. Margarita was good but weird with whipping cream on top.. I hear the Winfield one is much better.someday I hope to try that one.Atmosphere was strange, employees standing in group close to out table looking our way a lot. Place was old and not really clean as one would like.

The guy taking our order was being very rude. I have ordered here for years with no problems and now all of a sudden "we can't remove onions or tomatoes from your enchilada, infact we have never done that" yes you have I literally check them, but you can lie to my face I guess. We won't be back.

We shared chicken quesadillas and they were very good. We also shared fried ice cream and that was a special treat also. Chips were warm, salsa tasty but a bit mild. The atmosphere isn't anything special. The El Maguey's in Winfield is newer and nicer, butThe waiter was attentive and friendly. Overall, we'd recommend it and will go back.

The food is ok the staff is not very friendly at all they do not great you say thank you they don't speak when taking your order no smiles the and dead flies in the window sill and on the table.
I grew up in Arkansas City, and when I was younger, the Green Door used to be good, but now I wouldn't go there again. I've lived in Los Angeles for many years now, and I've had excellent Mexican food, and this was not it. During my next visit to A.C., and a friend suggests that we eat at El Maguey, I will say no. I got a burrito and enchilada; the meat was not seasoned, and the cheese sauce was horrible. It just was not good.

The food was good. The only problem I had I had to ask 3 times for a type of hot sauce I like and they didn't have any. Used what they had and it was almost empty. Told that is all they had. The other El Maguey restaurants carry what I like but not this one.
Kid-friendliness: They had THE BEST chicken strips in a kid meal I've ever seen!
Great Food... I eat there frequently... love the Chicken and rice w/

The best Mexican restaurants around. We have been going here for years and they are very consistent with preparing their food. Thank you. Don't ever
