Quaint and rustic hole in the wall with river view. Outstanding and friendly staff! I didn't get a chance to try the food. Next time.

The chicken tenders were great! My husband loved the daily special (pulled pork quesadilla) and the cheese curds.

We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, and catfish for a catered family reunion and it was all over the top fantastic!!

Riverfront dive bar with excellent food. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just home style, cooked to order, good food, served with a smile by staff who appear to genuinely like their jobs!

Worst service ever. We called around after the Benedictine football and every place was packed except this one. That should’ve been hint #1. We got there and the place was empty on a Saturday after football. It looked ran down and like no one cared. That should’ve been hint #2. A huge fishing tournament on the river was just finishing up and not one person came over. That should’ve been hint #3. But we were hungry and tired so we tried it anyway. An hour and a half later and still no food and the staff and managers had no clue. So we got up and left. Don’t waste your time.

Very cute place and a great atmosphere. Staff was wonderful and the catfish filet was the best I've ever had! I wish I could give more stars!!! We are from Ohio and had a long exhausting day of traveling. If you ever pop through Atchison or live close, I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Very rude and unaccommodating, and the place was empty on a Saturday evening. We turned around and left. Don’t waste your time or money

Food was not great. Chicken strips were overcooked. Cheese curds and BLT were ok. A/C in the restaurant was definitely not at a comfortable temperature. They did have fans around and the temp outside was 90+. It was very stuffy. The restaurant had an odor
not sure what it was but not pleasant. Women’s bathroom was ok but men’s was very dirty. Service was good.

If I had used the restroom before ordering I would have left.

Our visit was around 12:30 on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Not very busy at time of visit. We aren’t from the area so review comes as a tourist.

Looking for a fun atmosphere with a menu to please anyone and good tap beer? This is your place! The spicy cheese curds are some of the best we have ever had according to our group of 4 aging between 8-42. The appetizer sampler is a must order, pick 3 and around 13.00. We choose the spicy cheese curds, fried pickle spears, and corn bites. So good!! The kids had chicken strips with upgraded cheese curds. Standard kids chicken strip meal is 6.00- two chicken strips and french fries. Adult is 10.00 with 4 chicken strips and french fries. The chicken strips were good flavor with a lighter crispy batter. I had the smoked wings around 10-12 for $11.00. The wing flavor was one of the best I have ever had with an amazing crispy outside. The buffalo sauce wasn’t to shabby either. Unfortunately, the wings that day were just pretty dry and a lot of sauce was needed to help make up for it. I’d still give the wings another shot on a different day, because the smoked flavor and crispy outside is worth another try.

The atmosphere and location are great this Kansas town. Outside seating with umbrellas, corn hole and ability to create your own music play list. Inside seating looked fun too.

Downfalls- unfortunately, it appeared only one waitress working and while they weren’t busy the service was very slow. The waitress was nice but I ended up going inside to place our drink and food order at once. We a patiently waited and even a few regular patrons said she would be coming back out, but she never did. When I went inside she was polite and grateful when I said I would just order at the counter. Awhile later a male came out, he appeared to be cleaning tables. He sat at the table next to us and talked to us about why we were in town and places to visit, as if he knew I was slightly irritated by the wait, but completely made it up for it too.

If you aren’t a beer drinker than the drink options are slim. Canned pop and regular lemonade and juices. The prices are reasonable for the drinks.

The ranch was a standard premade, pre package blend. Still better tasting than most but not as good as a house blend.

Overall- I’d visit this place again more than once for lunch. The food was good, atmosphere great, and wait staff was trying. I have a feeling in the evenings it’s a great local spot to listen to music by the water and have a drink.

Fun atmosphere, but we waited an hour for our food before giving up. If you can't serve me bar food in under an hour, you've got problems.

With outdoor seating, we had a great view overlooking the river. Great spot to hang out with friends, grab a beer and a bite to eat. The service and the food were great.
