From a Texan with a a snobbish taste for authenticity, this is the best Mexican food restaurant in Kansas.

I have never been more impressed with a small town mexican restaurant! The el Pastor Street Tacos were amazing, I need to try the Asada and Barbacoa, as I've traveled to several states, lived in TX and NM, and this was a pleasure. Also chips n salsa plus the combo queso dip was Great. Don't miss this place!

The food was excellent, could use a little more spice/seasoning but over all was great! The service was amazing! Manuel is an amazing server and made our experience exceptional! We will definitely be back!

We ate at Candiles this evening for the first time and we will be going back. The food was excellent! If you live in Wichita, Andover or the Augusta area, you have got to try their food. You won’t be disappointed. Friendly staff also.

Just a pretty average Mexican restaurant. Was not impressed, actually a little disappointed in the portion size for the money. Taste was good enough, but again average.

Eat here if you value high quality Mexican food at a very respectable price. Just eat here. It's the best I've found and I've looked a lot.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The owner is always very kind and even accepted a painting of mine as a gift. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant by far!

Took my Son to lunch here on 10/17/24. Had never been but the reviews looked very favorable, so I decided we should try it. I hadn't even been seated for a minute before I had a basket of fresh, warm chips in front of me. This was presented with a bottle of yummy salsa (mild to medium heat and not too forward on any note) with two little bowls (nice touch since I like to double dip).
My son opted for the 5 Street Taco lunch and I got the lunch Taco Salad. I decided to order the Choriqueso to share since I love the stuff. I was NOT disappointed, and I simply couldn't stop eating the stuff! I even added some to my Taco salad! Needless to say, we were both stuffed and he had enough leftovers to feed his family this evening (our tab before tip was $38, so the generous portions make for a great bargain). We never waited more than a few minutes for anything (it appears as though everyone in the restaurant helps with everything). Flavors were on point, and our waiter even brought my son a container of the sauce they serve with the street tacos (different than the regular salsa). The parking lot was packed when we left so the locals must know what is good in Augusta. How great is it to get quality food, great service and be able to make it back to work on time?
The place was a little difficult for me to spot at first (it is tucked in a little plaza next to the Dollar Tree), but it's well worth seeking out! My new favorite restaurant in Augusta!
