“Update: the owner reached out and apologized for our experience so that shows he does care. I’m sure we will be back with the new staff. I appreciate the owner taking the time to find me on Facebook. It was that extra step that meant a lot
We have been coming here for the last 6 years. The last several trips it’s just been getting worse… but this last time was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. I’m generally not one to leave a bad review but this place has really gone down hill. We sit down at about 7:15 on a Saturday. There was a birthday party that was finishing up and about 4 tables. Our server comes up after a few minutes, takes our drink order and tells us burgers are going to take up to 30-45 minutes because they cook has to make the patties first. We said that was fine but we will need an appetizer so we ordered one. We both finished our beers and watched as food was coming out to all the other tables. The table behind us was extremely irritated because they had been there for an hour and a half waiting on their food. After 45 minutes… our server comes running by with someone else’s food and asks my dad if he wants another beer but doesn’t actually stop. Guess what…. She didn’t come back with a beer and didn’t come back to ask. Finally, she comes back with our burgers. It’s been 50 minutes….. we have a toddler with us who is super hungry at this point. Her hot dog looked like something that had been sitting on a roller at a gas station. She sets our food down and says the cook forgot to put our appetizer in so there won’t be a charge for that. I responded with “obviously we won’t be charged for food we don’t have.” Yes, it was caddy but she was too busy talking to the cook and other people at the bar to noticed that (at this point there were 2 tables) one of her tables didn’t have their appetizers after almost an hour! The waitress was very rude at this point. We ended up walking out without even touching our food. Every time we are there, they are completely under staffed. I’ve known several of the previous waitresses and they all say the same thing… the owner doesn’t care. I’ll say it again… by far the WORST dining experience. We will not be back. Which is sad because it’s the only place to get a burger in this town that isn’t sonic or McDonald’s.“

“This cafe is attached to a medical building and hospital. My wife and I both had salads as we arrived early for an ultrasound. It is an order at the counter and they bring it out to you kind of place. My wife had chicken walnut salad and I had fried chicken salad. Both were well presented (We started eating before I remembered to take pics!) and pleasing to the eye! Of course the real test is in the eating! Both were delicious!“

“I never have a problem with the food. It’s the hygiene. Please do not go out and smoke and then come back in and handle food/drinks without washing. Also, the coughing in the hands…. Nope. We need to take it back to kindergarten and learn basic hygiene.“
