A cute,quirky little restaurant we found by accident. Downtown Bird City. This was the only restaurant open for miles. The owner was working, and a great story teller. The restaurant is like a museum, with all its art work and memorabilia. Food was excellent. Service was very good. If I go thru Bird City again, I will definitely stop in.
Locals were there in droves, that was my first sign. I was rewarded with great atmosphere and service! I was there for breakfast and kept it simple, it came out timely and was cooked perfect. My coffee never got cold and if you don't want to look at your phone, the walls are full of interesting things! I will go out of my way to eat here in the future!

I travel Kansas, extensively.This past October, I ate breakfast here.The best breakfast I've ever had in Kansas (that's saying A LOT).As well, surprisingly cheap!Also, great, friendly staff, in a genuine manner of speak.
Overall, it was a great first visit. Service by Chloe was quick and friendly. Coffee was fresh and hot. My ham steak was cooked perfectly, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their entrées (sausage omelet and eggs benedict). A classic, delicious comfort food, small town café.
