Locals were there in droves, that was my first sign. I was rewarded with great atmosphere and service! I was there for breakfast and kept it simple, it came out timely and was cooked perfect. My coffee never got cold and if you don't want to look at your phone, the walls are full of interesting things! I will go out of my way to eat here in the future!
I travel Kansas, extensively.This past October, I ate breakfast here.The best breakfast I've ever had in Kansas (that's saying A LOT).As well, surprisingly cheap!Also, great, friendly staff, in a genuine manner of speak.

The owner was working, and a great story teller. The restaurant is like a museum, with all its art work and memorabilia.
Food was excellent. Service was very good.
If I go thru Bird City again, I will definitely stop in.
