Steak 'n Shake

Great selection of food and drinks here. They have a lot of very kind waiters here but they have a lot of waiting around here but you should expect waiting for 20 or less minutes here.

Food is pretty consistent and a decent burger but it's a bit old inside and it shows, service was pretty good on our last visit.

Let me start off by saying that I love steak and shake. The food is good and the prices are nice. My problem is THIS steak and shake. We had to seat ourself because no one came to the front. After that, we had to track down our own waiter to order drinks and food. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it came it was cold, and the friar must not have been at the proper temperature because the chicken was greasy and wasn't holding it's breading. The ketchup tasted like alcohol, indication it had gone bad, and when we tried to find the manager to discuss all of this, it took an additional ten minutes for him to show up.

I'd been to this location before and had okay service, but this last time was so frustrating, I probably won't go back. I had a little time to kill so I thought I'd stop in and get a couple shakes with my husband. We were seated and forgotten. I should also mention there were only 3 families in there when we got there, and one more was seated after us. The one seated after us was eating when we finally gave up and left. We waited 15-20 minutes, then let the other waitress know (ours had disappeared) we were leaving. As we were driving off, I saw my missing waitress playing with another worker in the dumpster area. I called and let the store know, and they offered me "the best possible service" If I returned. I did not.

I used to love this place, not anymore. Our waitress came and took our order, we told her that at the end of the meal, we will be ordering a bunch of shakes. She never came back. A guy delivered our food and another waitress fixed all the mistakes with our food. Our waitress visited the table next to us at least 5 times and never even glanced our way. We had empty drinks and never got to order the shakes I had bragged about to my party. When it was time to pay, she miraculously showed up and gave us a thousand excuses as to why she was too busy to check on our table. Not happy!
