I had beef and mashed potatoes. it was very good. the place itself is so cute-inside and out. we sat inside but the tables outside looked great. Oh and had key lime pie which was too sweet and too tart and too perfect!!

I've been searching for verenika that matches the wonderful flavor that I loved as a young person. Very hard to find any restaurant that serves this and has always been very disappointing. Recently a gentleman suggested LaVon's noting limited hours but excellent food. Of course, I knew i had to try! Called ahead and ordered 2 dozen with ham gravy. Just for reference, I've been telling my husband how wonderful this dish is for over 30 years. Today, he ate and loved. I loved!!! So delicious & flavorful with the smoked ham flavor coming through with every bite! Well worth a bit of driving. I'm in love ❤️ after 40+ years of searching for the verenika I loved, I'm so happy to have found my holy grail lol Now looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu!

After a long day of pedaling, on my bicycle tour across America, the food was delicious and the coconut cream pie was heaven in my mouth. And that was just the food, the atmosphere is just as good. A go-to place to dine!
