Renita has a way of preparing wonderful home cooked meals that every time taste like a meal that has been prepared for a special loved family member!! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing!!
Passing through the area on Highway 36 about 1:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday, and the restaurant in Mankato was closed for the afternoon, so I went north to Burr Oak, just to see if anything was there, and found this little gem of a cafe. The special of the day was Beef and Bell Peppers in gravy, with mashed potatoes. It also came with a tall iced tea, and home-made bread pudding for desert. Everything was VERY excellent. You can't get good home-style cooking like this...
