The only thing that I had an issue with was I ordered The Bengal burger, well done. It was pretty pink inside. And my husband ordered the 12 oz steak but with all the gristle on it, it was more like 6 ounces. Other than that, our waitress was very friendly and quick with our drinks, appetizers and entrees.
Kid-friendliness: Our waitress was very friendly and had a great vibe to her.

Food has always been really good here. They also brew their own beer and you can get it to go. We stop by often when traveling through Clay Center.

Would give it a 0 star rating if I could. When you order a steak it is almost always either burnt or too tough to cut with a knife. Service is absolutely terrible, all the teenage girls seem to have an attitude and not enjoy their job. Even over the phone the customer service is bad. And not to mention by the time you get your waffle fries they are soggy and cold. Do better

This waitress should never be a waitress. Her social skills are non existent. No polite manners, never came out to check on us. I had to ask another waitress to take over. Then they were out of multiple menu items. It’ll be awhile before I return.
Food was great, service excellent

Amazing staff. Awesome atmosphere. Great food! Light beer? Dark beer? They have them both! Mixed drinks, nonalcoholic drinks? Yep! Burgers, steaks, salads, wraps, pizza!! Been here a few times already and I can’t wait to be back!

Went there for 2 wraps and one of them was incorrect. The manager, Mike, quickly corrected it and was very nice. Great customer service and food. I definitely recommend this place & will be back when I visit Clay Center again.

Manager Mike James and his entire staff at 1524 BrewHouse accommodated 10 of us for dinner this evening. The restaurant was pretty full and even though we were the largest group dining in, our servers were attentive, quick, courteous and exceptional. The food was great! We gobbled down fried pickles, cheese curds and some of the best onion rings on the planet! Our steaks were perfect, the grilled shrimp skewers were to die for and we can’t wait to go back! Mike himself checked on us several times and made sure everyone was happy with our food and libations. Highly recommend! You can’t go wrong here!

Hidden gem! The brew master was behind the bar, providing good insight into the craft behind Crowley and some history of the brewery as well. Didn't order any food this time but the IPAs were fantastic

We ordered a mushroom-Swiss burger with side salad/honey mustard as well as a medium-rare 4 oz sirloin with waffle fries. We also had a side of green beans. The burger had so much pepper it was unbearable and the burger was dry. Green beans were blanched with no seasoning; no garlic, no onion, no salt. My husband's steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare and the steak itself was tough to eat as well. The only good thing about this meal was the honey mustard dressing which I am sure it was from a bottle and the waffle fries which I am sure they came frozen. We would have been better off taking our 29 dollars, driving to Manhattan with 2 babies and eating at Texas Roadhouse for a better burger and steak. Yes, it would have been a little extra but in the long run we would have had a better meal, leftovers for the next day and a full belly. Also I would have gotten my side salad. I did not receive it in the initial order. We will not be returning.
Phenomenal experience. We hit the road from Topeka to see what the brewery had to offer and found an absolute gem of a restaurant, brewery, and overall customer-oriented atmosphere. Portion sizes are incredible as well — we’d already eaten half the “side” of fried pickles when I snapped the attached picture of this incredible BLT. Literally “piled on” thick-cut, black pepper, delicious strips of bacon. Legit. We also had the totchos. The brewer, server, and table runners were awesome. We will be back!
