Damn nice people, damn good ribs.
Exactly what you want and expect from a small town owner operated BBQ restaurant. If they were in Kansas City the line would be out the door Randy welcomes you like you are family. All the 5 star reviews are spot on đđ we'll be back to try something new and another banana pudding.

Passed through here recently on a business trip. Had to try The Susan, a specialty Mac and Cheese. It was delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly staff, excellent service and reasonably price for the amount of food served.

A very patriotic pig stand, decorated inside and out with red white and blue. I believe the little restaurant is veteran owned and operated. It is kind of a shoe string operation, almost a food truck type environment, only with full table service. The restaurant is a combination of what looks to be an old industrial building with an uninsulated shed structure attached. The shed, the lower and larger dining area where you enter, is heated and air conditioned. Grab a table there. Today the AC was working hard. It was comfortable even on this hot muggy day. Nothing fancy here. A functional back street BBQ joint. Very nice and obviously patriotic folks run this restaurant. The lady that served us was pleasant and friendly.
The restaurant offers the basics with a little of their own spin on the menu. For me, I tried something different, the Diablo Sandwich. Referred to on the menu as spicey. The lady serving us described it as a version of a Sloppy Joe (chopped brisket, BBQ sauce, peppers and onions). For the sides, I picked Cowboy Beans and Confetti Cole Slaw. The sandwich was very tasty. With several generous applications of the house made Hot BBQ sauce I was able to bring the heat level to what I consider spicey. Same with the beans. The slaw, average.
My wife had the sliced brisket with the Rustic Potato salad. A fair serving of tender lean brisket. It had a smokey bark, not covered with an overpowering rub. Good, but she commented that it was a little dry. Sauce was needed. A big dallop of delicious fresh potato salad was her side dish.
The restaurant is easy to find. It is a couple of blocks east of Patterson Blvd (HWY 69) on 8th street. Give it a try. Support veteran owned businesses.

Sorry, I canât agree with some reviewers. Of everything on our plates, the hash brown casserole and spiral mac&cheese were edible. The pulled pork had a yellow tinge in places and wasnât flavorful. The ribs were beef ribs, but the rub they use is like eating peppercorns. Wasted money and curiosity about the food is now known. The lady who was working was very nice.

I get the opportunity to eat out for lunch everyday, have ate at hundreds of places, from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri to this little Kansas bbq, itâs a small owner operation, Iâve ate there now over 10 times this last month, the price is very reasonable for the meat you get, for the food options in the small town I canât believe this place wasnât more busy , so if you in this town a want a nice all around place , donât pass it up

I was passing through and stopped for a brisket sandwich. I pity the fool that doesn't stop here. Excellent smoked brisket sandwich with spicy sauce. The ladies that run this and serve are a lot of fun and very nice. This will be a regular stop when passing through

I like their barbeque. Have had the chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and brisket (on three visits). Owner's wife provided service and is sweet and funny. Turned off by the Trump sign in front. Not sure if that is the reason, but have never seen a Black person in my three visits. I'm not into politics with my barbeque- just looking for good food.

Patriot BBQ is a must-visit in Coffeyville! The food is absolutely deliciousâperfectly smoked meats, and flavorful sides. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. On top of that, the service is top-notch! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. If youâre looking for great BBQ with a great atmosphere, this is the place to be. Highly recommend! ~ Jay McCurry, Tulsa, OK

We stumbled onto this restaurant while on a business trip and so glad we did. The barbecue brisket sandwich melted in my mouth and the side dish of funeral potatoes was the best I've ever eaten. It's a quiant little place with a very nice, interesting couple that runs the place. Five stars from my husband and me.
