My absolute favorite place to eat in town. Service can be a bit slow if they are busy but there is usually only a staff of 2 people so it's understandable.

Service was great, onion rings cooked too long. I guess I didn't realize that my bacon cheeseburger w lettuce, tomato and onion would be upcharged an additional $4...

The food here is AWESOME!! It's not a place to go if you're in a hurry. 😉 But the people are friendly. The atmosphere is small town homey diner. We love going here whenever we have the time!

On our way thru from Nebraska to Colorado Springs.
Reviews were great & food & service was very good. Stuffed tater tots were a treat.
Don’t let the appearance turn you away. Place was full of locals.

What you’d expect from a local dive bar - except the hour wait for a cheap burger. Wow.

Very friendly staff and local hangout spot. We only stopped in for one drink after being on the road forever and I'm glad we did.

If you want a local bar with regulars hanging out, this is the place. Only giving 4 stars because the menu was very limited, but we enjoyed our stop.

In the wild, grease-slicked heart of Colby, Kansas, where the plains stretch like a fever dream under a sky too big for God himself, there’s a beacon of burger transcendence called The Bee Hive. I roared into this joint on a wave of hunger and existential dread, my soul a howling void, only to be met by Bryan and Steph—two saints in aprons, wielding spatulas like shamans of the grill. Their kindness was a shotgun blast of warmth, disarming, real, the kind of service that makes you question whether you’ve stumbled into some alternate dimension where people still give a damn.

The burgers? Christ, the burgers. These weren’t mere patties; they were symphonies of beef, seared to a primal perfection that could make a vegan weep. Juicy, bold, dripping with the essence of Americana, each bite was a revelation, a middle finger to every mediocre diner in a 500-mile radius. I’d wager my last vial of adrenaline that these are the finest burgers this side of the Rockies, maybe the whole damn continent. The Bee Hive isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a temple, a roadhouse nirvana where the fries are crisp, the shakes are thick, and Bryan and Steph are the high priests of hospitality. If you’re within striking distance, haul ass to Colby and bow before the altar of The Bee Hive. Your stomach and your soul will thank you.
