Extremely overpriced we had a Greek salad as an appetizer and we added chicken it ended being $26 and $33 for over cooked, tasteless beef stroganoff!!! $26 for pot roast with frozen O'Brien potatoes that were supposed to be roasted potatoes, and service wasn't great either save you're money and grab something at the travel stop!! Won't ever go there again 🤢

Great little place. Expensive. Need to add music or something to living up the staff. Very ho hum atmosphere. TV's are to high. Neck ache from watching football at the bar.

It's 12:30 on a Sunday and we are the only people here. That's a BIG clue that something isn't right. We come in about every other month. We know prices are on the high side, but the food is decent. Today was no disappointment as far as the food is concerned, but the service today is ridiculous. We've had this guy before and he's been good, but today he's really slow (again, we are the ONLY ones here). No check back after the food was delivered, no drink refills, taking forever to bring the check. We've been done for ten minutes . I really hope he's just having an off day. We'll try again, but I hope what we experienced isn't why there aren't more people here
I have no idea how this place is still hanging onto four stars—maybe nostalgia, maybe mercy, but it’s definitely not the food.
This used to be our dependable road-trip stop on the trek from Lake of the Ozarks to Colorado. Not anymore. We’re officially breaking up.
Our server, Hayden, was fantastic — honestly the only redeeming part of the visit. She deserved a better kitchen behind her.
We tried to play it safe with “jumbo” wings, fries, and calamari. Simple stuff. Basic. The culinary equivalent of bumpers in a bowling alley. And somehow they still gutter-balled it.
$7 fries: came out limp enough to qualify as emotional support fries. Sent them back and got a crispier version… but with a mystery flavor. Turns out everything is fried in tallow. Some people love it. We apparently are not those people.
Calamari: edible, but mostly tiny fried crumbs pretending to be squid. Also tallow-flavored, because of course it was.
Jumbo wings: Calling these “jumbo” is false advertising at its finest. Six tiny wings for $13, and the inside was dark enough to make us question our life choices. Zero chance these came from a chicken that lived a happy life — or even a medium-sized one.
Two vodka drinks at $8 each would’ve been a deal if they had any actual vodka in them. These were basically adult Capri Suns without the fun.
Ambiance? Fine. Not offensive. Not memorable. Just sort of… existing.
Final verdict: Amazing waitress, disappointing everything else. Prices from the future, food from somewhere else entirely. We’re out.

Absolute garbage. I lived in Colby for many years and loved going to City limits. I stopped in recently and was very disappointed to find the place in such a mess. They must have lost their chef or something. The updated menu suuuuucks. They have chased off a great staff, and replaced them with sub par workers. Sad.
Also, I can't confirm it but I think they were serving rotted meat. It smelled and tasted off. I could not finish it. Worst experience ever.

First time there and never again. We sat for over 30 minutes without getting any food after ordering. Tables around us were receiving their orders, who ordered after us. We had a cheeseburger, 2 garden salads and a soup nothing complicated or time consuming to prepare. We got up and left.

Place does look good. Servers and all staff are very nice. But how in the world did you come up with these ridiculous prices??!! $65 for a filet mignon, are you insane? I had it cheaper in fancy restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas! This is colby, KS, a middle of nowhere! Or is there something about this town I don’t know? Hollywood celebrities live here? Elon Musk has relocated? Also $11 for soup. It won’t be long till locals abandon this place and it shuts down.

Unattentive wait staff. Food was absolutely terrible. I don't think they know what salt and pepper is. No spice on anything. Burger was just, I think meat, with no seasoning. Short rib sandwich, no flavor or seasoning. Salads were wet, soaking in water, mush, and the chicken was dry as the desert. Im not a picky eater, but this was really bad. I mean really bad! STAY AWAY!!!
The wife's take: The Burger was semi warm on the outside but cold in the middle, there was absolutely no seasoning and the cheese looked plastic, like it was heated in the microwave. Could barley get one bite down. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone as I feel even a monkey could cook better then the food we received.
