Staff had a really hard time understanding how to use an old mag stripe gift card that has never given me a problem at any other Starbucks location. They also wanted me to swipe on a hand held reader through the drive through. After I responded that the gift card was too old to have a chip reader I was asked if it had tap functionality.

It most certainly is an Starbucks of all time.

It's expensive for what your getting. Their competition does it better, for less money. It's the iPhone of coffee shops, you pay extra for the trendy brand name thats not as good, but you're somehow convinced its better because it costs more.

I go into the drive thru and I handed the girl at the register a gift card and my own card to cover the rest of the payment. She used my card first and then scanned the gift card assuming that I wanted to know how much was on the card and I expressed to her that I wanted to use the card.
