I was thinking about having pizza all day on my drive to Emporia Kansas and stopped in and there was nobody seated in the restaurant. I had to stand around waiting to seated. they were busy and the guy asked if I was there for takeout. I said no I want to eat here and then he proceeded to seat I wanted to give my order immediately but he said no I’ll just give you a couple minutes here and you can look this (menu) over and I’ll be back. He never came back and I’m sure I waited almost 10 minutes and at that point I gave up - they were so busy with carry out and or deliveries that I just got up and left and I went next-door to IHOP

I wouldn't ordinarily post a review of a chain store pizza restaurant....but....we just ordered delivery on a thin crust pizza from there, it's definitely the worst pizza in recent memory. We were very hungry and managed to eat several pieces, definitely not saving the leftovers. With today's many choices of places to eat, I can't believe they put out a product of this quality.

Both website and the doorbsay "Open until 1:00 AM". We arrived at 8:40 and the door was locked. What's worse is that there were workers there sitting in the booth on their phones and they looked at us like we were aliens or something.

I could name a whole list of things. The server was nice but service sucked. I ordered a pan pizza but after my order about 10 minutes later I was told they had no pan pizza crust so we got hand tossed. I ordered a large and got a medium. The sausage didn't taste right. The wings were overcooked to the point of being crispy and crunchy. We were never brought plates or silverware, I had to grab plates from the salad bar for my wings, I could go on.. waste of money and didn't have a great experience

Just like Brandi’s review a few months ago…I got there with my family about 8:15pm on a Friday. They were about to seat us but told us the buffet was closing. Fine, figured we just order from the menu anyways. However before we got seated the server said that “they” (motioning to herself and another worker) had to leave in an hour. So they said we couldn’t be served. Their hours didn’t say they close till midnight. Now I get it, some places close their lobby earlier. However the indication was not that they were closing their lobby but more like the workers’ shifts were ending. If that was the case, then I think an hour woulda been enough time to serve us. Overall, it sure seemed like they just didn’t want to get “involved” with another table close to when they wanted to get off their shift.

So after leaving, I took my family back to our place, then proceeded to order carry out through the phone app. (Kids really wanted ‘The Hut’). Ok so I went to get the pizza with a couple of tagalong kids. Get there about 8:45-8:50pm. Pull on the doors, locked. Knock on the doors. Someone at the counter looks at me, so I look back and wait. Then he comes over opens the door and says they are closed (maybe he just meant the lobby). I say that’s fine I just have a carry out order. He asks if I have a vehicle, and if I can pull around to the drive thru window. He said he was “legally” not allowed to let us inside. BS. Sure maybe there was a store policy or something…whatever I get back in my car and go around the drive thru and pay and get my pizza. Overall, just poor customer service. More honest explanations would have been better. The Employees I interacted with need better training in this regard.
I am so happy I found this place! The pizza buffet was wonderful! I had so missed going to Pizza Huts buffet. So many locations don’t have the buffet anymore. The pizza, pasta and salad was soo good. The decor is nice and our server was excellent! We will definitely be back! Who knew Emporia has such a gem with this restaurant!
