If you're in Joplin and looking for wings, This place is a definite hard pass. Yeah, they have wings but the wings were TINY. I mean, like bite sized. The chicken chunks were Oh, and when you list your sauces with a heat rating from 1-5 peppers, and your sauce called "Suicide" is listed as 5 peppers, one would think it should be pretty hot? It was like a medium or so at one of the other larger chain wing joints. The beer selection was pretty lackluster as well. Lots of macros and a few macro IPAs (Lagunitas, Goose, etc..) Atmosphere in the sports bar was pretty loud as basketball was on, which if that's what you're looking for this place delivers. One other thing I found strange was that they closed at 9. Odd for a place in a college town that also serves alcohol to close st 9PM on a Thursday. I walked in around 8:20 and they said I had plenty of time to eat. My food didn't arrive until around 8:45, and about 5 minutes later staff are turning chairs upside down on tables to start cleaning. I thought this place would have local written all over it as it came highly recommended by a few locals, but it's literally worse than any chain joint I've had wings at. Ok, maybe not as bad as Beef O'Bradys, but that's not saying much.
Came in for a family vacation from southern California and we KNEW there was only 1 place for me and my family...HACKETT'S! Perfect for a quick bite, a family get together or a social gathering. They have 3 different rooms on the 1st floor including the sports lounge area. They also offer a large banquet area upstairs. The food selection is good if you don't just want wings [but you should be eating wings] but the wing flavor selection are AMAZING. We ordered 100 WINGS [greek, suicide, hot & honey, lemon pepper & cajun] we had maybe 15 left over. We order seasoned mixed veggies, fried mushroom, fried pickles, baskets & baskets & baskets of fries....ALL VERY GOOD! They have a great beer and cocktail selection, all for a GREAT PRICE! Spent maybe $260 on 10 people; appetizers, 100 wings, beers & cocktails! GREAT SERVICE, checked on multiple times by multiple people. We can definitely say, we enjoyed ourselves. Move to the left Buffalo Wild Wings make way for Hackett Hot Wings!

The wings the last few times have been good, I don't like wet wings but I like the wet wings here but I prefer the dry wings at BWWs. I usually get them Togo and they are always nice at pick up. I'm happy that their wings are tasting better but their hottest wings aren't that hot, they are a good spice, I can eat ten of them before I start to feel a burn in my mouth, bwws hottest wing I can't eat more than 5 if so if you want a hot hot wing then go to bwws!

Absolutely worst service ever. Will not go back. I understand busy, but that wasn't the case. Appetizer arrived before drinks. Had to flag someone down every time we needed something. Will not go back.

Loves this place. It was packed so we had to wait a long time for the food. I started out with the fried mushrooms which were hot, tasty, and large. I had 15 wings. 10 hot and 5 medium. They were flavorful and the hot made you sweat. The two temperatures above that would probably make me need a gallon of water. Kidding aside, there was a lot of taste even though they were hot.

Had a business lunch and this is cool downtown Joplin atmosphere with a variety of sauces for wings. great for a business lunch! try the carribbean dry rub on the wings! sweet potato puffs were an awesome appetizer. downtown Joplin looks great and hackett is a nice venue!
