I was fading fast while driving east back to Arkansas. It was 10 miles either direction to the nearest gas-station coffee. I saw this restaurant and hoped to get lucky they would have coffee. It turns out they have one of the best cups of coffee I've had. They were kind to me, and generous: a bottomless cup (incl. a to-go cup!) was less than $2. Muchas gracias, El Puerto.

Lunch specials were cheap, good, filling, and not enormous. You can substitute refried beans for rice.
Excellent food and service, and some of the best refried beans and rice I've ever had.
This Mexican restaurant is awesome! Always a friendly smile. The food is always quick no wait to be seated and the food is always hot and must go to if you're passing through town.
