I’m so glad to know that this place exists! My impression, confirmed by the waitress, is that this business brings together the community. There was a regular customer and her regular pet duck, and customers walked in and immediately greeted others they knew. It included a garden center, cafe, ice cream shop, and pet store, where the duck owner was purchasing crickets for her duck to snack on.
The food was good. My husband had the chicken fried chicken, gravy, and fries. It was crispy, hot, and delicious. I had the South of the Border burger, which turned out to be just a bacon cheeseburger with pickled jalapeños, and the sweet fries, which were crispy. Service was great and we had a wonderful time!

I was in to Wards this morning to purchase flowers. I am a regular customer known to Mike Ward. After paying for my purchase and beginning to drive away I was chased down by Mike Ward and accused of not paying! I always when possible try and do business with local shops. I will only be supporting Wharton’s from now on. Where valued customers are treated with respect!

The food is very reasonably priced and full of flavor! The back area is bright, and feels quite welcoming! This is a great place to take the family, as when you're done there is plenty of shopping for all!
