We took an out of state friend here for our first visit & were not disappointed! We received a warm welcome upon entering and taken to our ready-for-us table. We started with a couple glasses of wine & the bruschetta which had tomatoes that tasted like they came out of the garden that day and were the star of the dish. The main courses were phenomenal and huge! If you leave hungry it's your own fault! Clearly the owners have dedicated themselves to quality and community. We were very well taken care of & will definitely return to try their other menus!

We had a chicken cutlet on a hoagie roll with arugula, hoagie mayo, and provolone with a sour potato salad as well as a turkey sandwich with goat cheese, arugula & cherry balsamic spread on sourdough with home made chips and a dill pickle Cole slaw. Carrot cake “donut” for dessert.
It was incredible! Already planning my next trip. 🙃

Another wonderful dining experience at the best little restaurant in Southeast Kansas. We are never disappointed at Bushel & a Peck and our visit tonight for the Trattoria menu was no exception. We had antipasto Panzanella, Caesar salad, chicken-spinach ravioli, chicken liver tortellini, eggplant Parm, and chicken cacciatore. Every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. And for dessert, zeppole, which were little Carmel clouds. 5-stars across the board! (And the music was perfect!)

We ordered their "Takeout Tuesday" pizza. Our first pizza from them. It is a thicker crust, but the sauce, toppings, and crust are so flavorful.we.love all the food we have gotten here, and this service is amazing for a Tuesday.

Truly, a hidden gym…for now!! The food is IMMACULATE. Tremendous flavors and everything is made in house. The Chef and service are wonderful. This is a new restaurant for Girard but deserves a lot of support. It’s local but flawlessly executed.
I cannot say enough about the flavors and seasonings and sauces….just incredible…we are still talking about it.
Polenta, Coffee Rubbed Chuck, and the Pork Butt Pastrami were ALL truly wonderful.
The sides too. Best potato salad around and coleslaw too.
We will be back many more times.

A gem! People, local and an hour from Girard, do yourself a favor and dart over to enjoy killer and creative munchies and meals. Oh! I don’t want to leave out the signature cocktails! I’m one who likes to taste my spirits, not mixer. Now, I’m sipping the Rhinestone Cowboy as I wait for every side and appetizer on the menu to wow my out of state family.
