Food is usually good. Atmosphere is clean and nice. However, service is spotty. I've had good experiences and bad. Like 50/50. Our most recent trip was the worst. A large group of my family came in to eat together. There was 11 of us. We asked to move some tables/chairs together so we could all sit together. We were rudely told no and then the staff that told us no, went to the back to gossip and laugh at us all while we waited for the rest of our family to show up and decide...
The store was empty when we arrived. We had never been there before and didn't know to order at counter. We sat down at a table. After about 3 minutes we were finally greeted and told how to order. The pizza was fantastic!! We camp at the lake several times a year and will make frequent visits to Opies in Girard! One suggestion I would give is greet your customers when they come inside. No one acknowledged us until after we sat down. Other than that it was a great experience!!
From now on I will check my pizza before leaving the restaurant.
