If you don't stop here you'll be disappointed (highly recommend the cowboy bites) the gentleman working here clearly loves his state, local area, and very much so the restaurant. He fully understands the travellers coming through and wants people to explore the local area. He knows his regulars and their orders. Great small town family feeling
Such a find!! Enjoyed our meal and the fellowship of the locals.

Chef salad was missing cucumber ,hard boiled egg, might’ve had three pieces of onion. Macaroni and cheese with two pieces of chicken was definitely craft box mac & cheese, and super generic Skippy chicken pieces I was really looking forward to it, and I wanted to love this place but meh

If the final question on a game show was to name the best place to eat in central-Western Kansas or go home with $0 I’d tell you to bring me my money

Worth the stop if you are on your way between Colorado and Kansas. The food was fresh and made with love. We ordered three dishes and enjoyed them all (Torta which was on special, Chefs Salad, and spaghetti). Also a nice touch was the shelf of books to entertain yourself or your kids.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right, but this one does. The ambiance, the music, the way the lighting hit the tables—everything felt curated for comfort and connection. I had the coq au vin, which was slow-cooked in red wine with mushrooms and pearl onions, and served over creamy mashed potatoes. Each bite melted in my mouth. I finished with a dark chocolate torte and port wine pairing that was indulgent but balanced. Pure excellence!!!!!!!!!!

Passing through Goodland and stopped at this little hometown cafe for lunch. My husband and I both had the special, fried catfish, coleslaw and cornbread. It was delicious! The owner took time to talk with us, sharing a sheet of paper with local attractions and other restaurants we might be interested in, as well as a little information about a few attractions.

The man there not only was super friendly, informative about the area and gave us a nice list of places to visit. He greeted everyone with a smile and was quick to deliver food, which was filling and delicious. If I find myself in the area again, I will come back.

If I could I would give this place 10 stars. Great food and service. Where can you get a great cup of coffee for $1.00, at Mom's! Prices are unbelievable! Along with providing us with a list of places to visit along the way. Bathrooms super clean. Highly recommend.

We just enjoyed lunch at Mom’s Kitchen! Terry..(I think that was his name)..was SOOO nice and funny and told us some fun places to visit. A wealth of information. The food was exactly what I was expecting, homemade and very good! The hushpuppies were delicious! It’s right off of I-70, just east of the Colorado/Kansas state line. Great prices. Thanks, Mom’s Kitchen!❤️
