It’s rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right, but this one does. The ambiance, the music, the way the lighting hit the tables—everything felt curated for comfort and connection. I had the coq au vin, which was slow-cooked in red wine with mushrooms and pearl onions, and served over creamy mashed potatoes. Each bite melted in my mouth. I finished with a dark chocolate torte and port wine pairing that was indulgent but balanced. Pure excellence!!!!!!!!!!

Passing through Goodland and stopped at this little hometown cafe for lunch. My husband and I both had the special, fried catfish, coleslaw and cornbread. It was delicious! The owner took time to talk with us, sharing a sheet of paper with local attractions and other restaurants we might be interested in, as well as a little information about a few attractions.

The man there not only was super friendly, informative about the area and gave us a nice list of places to visit. He greeted everyone with a smile and was quick to deliver food, which was filling and delicious. If I find myself in the area again, I will come back.

If I could I would give this place 10 stars. Great food and service. Where can you get a great cup of coffee for $1.00, at Mom's! Prices are unbelievable! Along with providing us with a list of places to visit along the way. Bathrooms super clean. Highly recommend.

We just enjoyed lunch at Mom’s Kitchen! Terry..(I think that was his name)..was SOOO nice and funny and told us some fun places to visit. A wealth of information. The food was exactly what I was expecting, homemade and very good! The hushpuppies were delicious! It’s right off of I-70, just east of the Colorado/Kansas state line. Great prices. Thanks, Mom’s Kitchen!❤️

A cafe very much worth the pitstop! Had a fantastic breakfast of challah French toast and jalapeño bacon. Even sampled my son’s breakfast burrito. Both dishes were excellent and the vibe and service inside made the whole experience relaxing and fun. Simple on the outside; a real winner on the inside!

Little bitty mom and pop diner with good food. The man running the place was very friendly. He offered lots of information about various sites to visit along I-70. This seems to be a favorite breakfast spot for the locals.

Local ma and pa food establishments are my favorite. Something about the thoughtfulness of the food prep and service and atmosphere is endearing to me. My daughter and I were visiting from the Denver Metro area and stopped in for a quick bite and we're both so happy we did. Service was great and the food was wonderful. My daughter even randomly mentioned the hamburger she got several times on the way back. If you're in the mood for a home cooked meal and a friendly face, Mom's Kitchen will not disappoint.

Traveling West and looking for a place to get some breakfast and just happened to find Mom's Kitchen! Can't say enough good things about this little diner! The food was excellent and the owner was very friendly! Made us feel right at home and even gave us a sample of their freshly made pork rinds. He also provided us with a list of some local places to visit. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back any time we are traveling on 70 West😀

Young gal didn't know how to multi task. Did come and ask how food was or if we needed refills. The old man came out and chatted with regulars. Bacon was very crispy, should have made it bacon bits. Hash browns we rubbery and full of oil. Eggs were good.

Traveling through for work from Kentucky and the outside sign caught my attention. A heart with an arrow through it with the word Mom’s written into it followed by kitchen off to the right. I had to pull in. It’s a hole in the wall type building but not hidden. Mom and pop style restaurant with one of the friendliest staffs I’ve encountered while traveling. It was breakfast time and I was influenced to get the oatmeal with brown sugar raisins and cranberries to start with. Topped that off with two eggs over easy, jalapeño bacon crispy, jalapeño toast and some hashbrowns. The bacon and toast were like no other. Both were amazing. The rest of the meal was highly above par. The staff recommended places for me to visit and even have me a pamphlet they had taken the time to print out of neat attractions in neighboring towns. All in all it was easily a 10/10 experience.
