We had a good stop on the restaurant. The chimichanga was good. I was a little disappointed that it was meat only. I was looking for it to be loaded. I was happy with it though. The fajita taco bowl on yhe other hand was really good. The best menu item I have tried thus far.

This place is great! Friendly people. Great menu, if you don't see what you want, ask and they can find it for you or suggest something they have that is close. Portion sizes are perfect as well.
Food was back to being the good authentic food it was before. Portion sizes are on the bigger size. Prices are about average for authentic Mexican restaurant. Good atmosphere and clean dining area. Was great seeing it packed again yet we didn't have a wait for it being a Friday night and having to have tables put together for the 7 of us. Only real downside was the wait for the food to the table but they did keep our chips and salsa filled!

New owners...similar menu, but food is fresher, and portions very hearty for the price. Everything seems cleaner, brighter, and staff is much more friendly than in our previous visits. Huge mexican shrimp cocktail featured plentiful jumbo shrimp and a full half avocado, though a bit on the sweet side. Ala Carte chicken burrito was enormous and stuffed full of shredded chicken and smothered in red sauce. Unbelievable for under $5! Planning on making El Azteca a regular outing!

Ordered chicken quesadilla and asked for extra cheese. The waitress gave me an extra cup of the cheese sauce. I love the cheese sauce.The new owner is super nice. The chef messed up my order at first but it was replaced fast. She apologized profusely and explained that the chef was still learning the menu.When talking to the owner she explained the original condition of the place and told us about how she completely deep cleaned and replaced all the equipment.Smells fresh.With the old owner it stank badly.Big improvement for sure. I will definitely come again.Parking: Not too many parking spaces. There's only about 20 of them. Normally the parking lot is only half full at any given time, so it's not hard to find a place to park.Kid-friendliness: A good restaurant for family meals.

Waited a long time to be acknowledged and once seated took 20 minutes for drinks. The nachos were delicious but I ordered the chicken fajitas and they tasted like shrimp. Salsa was tasty

The drinks were good. not the best, but good. , The salsa had way too much garlic I'm gonna breathe garlic for days so steer clear...lmao Anddd the food was pretty much the same as the old place. Lacking flavor and not really authentic per say. The rice was the best out of everything. IMO Plus side..IT didn't smell.Parking: Tight parking. lmao
My son says this is his new favorite restaurant and he hopes they can move further north so we can go more often.
