Mind the date of review. This is a little gem of a spot. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, great pricing, good drinks, great food. “Great” emphasis on the food only because I generally enjoy food more than drinks. Delicious, creative sandwiches. The new(ish) owners have done a great job with this place. Give it a try.

I moved to Kansas three years ago and settled in Holton with my family. I'm from the West Coast where coffee is King and I tell you what, coming to Penny's is a delight every single time! The staff is always joyous and amazing, the coffee is always great! 10/10

I enjoy stopping in this lovely coffee shop on the town square when I’m back visiting family. There’s lots of books to check out and there’s a cute little area for kids. My son loves to check on the fish tank every time we go.

Why support the chain restaurants, when you can get a fresh sandwich made by a local business that supports the local community in so many ways. Penny’s is the go to store for lunch almost daily, and why not… the food is excellent and the environment is friendly, now the owner is a different story (just kidding Brit). If you haven’t tried Penny’s you need to!
