Went to Salt City Brewery expecting beer and maybe a decent sandwich. Left with a full belly, sweet potato fry addiction, and a newfound respect for one of the hardest-working waitresses on Earth.
The Reuben? Delicious. The sweet potato fries? Basically dessert disguised as a side.
Now, onto the chaos: One waitress mysteriously vanished like she got drafted into the Hunger Games mid-shift. The other? She became a one-woman army. Taking orders, running food, refilling drinks, probably brewing the beer in the back—who knows. She was everywhere at once and somehow still friendly.
It was packed, it was wild, but she held it down like a champ. Props to her and to the kitchen for cranking out tasty food while the front-of-house turned into a solo act. Would definitely return (and maybe bring her a trophy).

I attended a birthday celebration at your restaurant on 05/31. The waitress was helpful & friendly but, the sandwich was a 2 out of 10! The slender, heel of bread was used, No Cheese or Condiment was included even though it was listed on Menu. Will not return for food but, Beer was Fine!

This place is nasty… dirty, service was horrible, beer was flat and when my husband brought it to their attention they said “ It went flat sitting at the bar before they brought it to the table”… what? My husband did not drink it and they didn’t offer to make it right or take it off the bill. Nasty slobbery dog roaming around food is gross. Place won’t last.

In town for a quick work trip and decided to stop in. Sat at the bar and had a taste of the local brews - fully stocked bar as well. Great evening chatting with other patrons and the bartenders. I hear Trivia on Wednesday night is a must! Don't skip this spot!

Saturday night, 7:00ish and relatively busy. Seated within minutes for a table of four (with two others already there - no big deal). Ordered drinks and appetizer. Came back in about 10 minutes with appetizer and 5 minutes later with drinks (2 beers and a Moscow Mule). Mule was not up to par and sent back, replaced by a specific dark beer; they were out of the dark requested, so we then ordered food - 2 burgers, 1 Reuben and 1 Mac & Cheese. Guess what? No reubens, so another burger ordered instead. Food came out roughly 45 minutes later, with one of them not being made as ordered - come on, this is a basic bar food order. By 8:00, crowd was really thinned out, but we felt rushed to finish our meal and conversations. Server was cool, beers were good, but food was pricey for what you received and marginal at best. Maybe pick up the pace in the kitchen and check your bartending. Bring all hands on deck for Friday and Saturday nights.

We came in last Friday with a large group and it was 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. We were impressed with how quickly we got our food. Everything was delicious and our server, Stephanie, was on top of it! Thanks for the great service, delicious food, and excellent beer!
Wonderful atmosphere awesome big screen TV to watch the games on and they love my Timberwolf. 🐺 it’s a place to take the whole family.

I placed a to-go order over the phone and my car broke down before I could get it. I called 10 minutes after placing it and asked if I could cancel the order, and they forced me to pay for the food. (I had not given them my card information at this point) At first they insisted that I pay for food I would never eat. I ended up talking to a manager and she said that if I didn’t pay for it then the lady who took my order on the phone would have to pay for my meal so I payed for it. They forced me to, even after explaining my circumstances. The manager brought my food to me after she got off work (which is where the car was broken down at). The manager was nice at least, although these people forced me to pay for this meal after explaining that I wasn’t able to anymore. There was a man in the car glaring at me. also did not receive correct food order. Customer service was awful, and I will never eat at this place again.

It is a favorite place to visit when I am out for a bike ride. The chef salad is a good choice on a hot kansas day. Oh, and of course a cold state fair brew.
