The restaurant was packed so I understand the 40 minute wait for our food but I don’t think you should sacrifice the quality of food because you are busy we ordered the country fried steak and eggs at 11:45 and we were eating at 12:20 the eggs cooked ok the hash browns were ok the fried steak was cooked and the gravy was awful it looked brown and tasted like an ash tray did someone put their cigarette out in the gravy or was it that burnt? Why would you serve that to someone? We had a reservation at the salt mine so we had to leave in a hurry because our food was so long waiting for it I hope the owner will look in to this it was really bad!!! I’m still pretty upset about the whole thing was trying to spend quality time with my son that lives near by and he loves this place and they served him this terrible meal I felt awful all day and had a hard time sleeping just thinking about it please do better so other people don’t have this same experience!!!!!’nn

UPDATE!! I initially wrote this review 8 years ago. Which consisted of what I order when I go here. I STILL order that Every time I go here. Sometimes I go CRAZY and get some peanut butter to put on the pancakes!!!!
Svc has gone down. A forever friend of 80 who's gone there forever says she won't go back. I pointed out a dirty coffee cup, waitress did not bring clean one. For a hometown diner, not friendly/warm.

I made a call in order. When i went in to pick it up it took over 10 minutes to get checked out. There was a line of people waiting to get checked out and pretty much ignored. I have never had bad food here, but getting service has been an issue more than once.
