We recently came to Kansas and I was really happy to come across Chez Matou Cuisine. It’s been really long since I had a Haitian Dish. And man oh man did I tore up the sampler. Definitely looking forward to more in future. Thank you Chef Matou
I ordered the catfish nugget meal and I'm telling you almost bit my finger off trying to eat this flavor for meal.
I feel sorry for anybody try to take it because, I'm going to jail! That spicy coleslaw, fried plantains & fried catfish nugget meal has made me a continuous customer of Chez Matou.
Friendly service, cooked with love so it takes time.
The true Haitian way!
If you want authentic Haitian food with an authentication atmosphere then Chez Matou is it!
The ONLY THING I DONT LIKE ....
is that they're not open more often.
Really a guessing game.
We've been trying to come back every day..
I CAME BACK BOUGHT THIS SAME ORDER 3 TIMES..
SAME DAY !!!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! 🤤

I was utterly charmed by the Chez Matou food truck! Chef Matou is all warmth and joy and hospitality, happy to explain her food, culture, and language. My husband and I got to try the best egg sandwich of our lives (spicy coleslaw is my new favorite thing!) and the pork belly and plantains combo was the definition of comfort food. The sweet Haitian Lemonade was the perfect compliment to our meal’s spice and we left with smiles on our faces, grateful for the magic of a new cultural experience right here in Junction City. Thanks, Chef Matou!

The pork belly is soooo good!
Stopped by the Chez Mary food truck in Manhattan and it was PHENOMENAL. It was our first time ever having Haitian food and we were sold. The griyo combo was absolutely incredible, with a perfectly crispy outside and juicy pork belly on the inside. Next time, I’ll be asking for the oxtail dish. ?

I truly miss her food. It’s been some of the best Creole food I’ve ever eaten!!
This food was AMAZING!! I got the fufu \\u0026 egusi soup with a side of coleslaw !! It was soooo good! My god! I used to drive to Wichita about once a week for the same dish and this was so much better. Not only was the food great but the owner is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I will be back tomorrow lol
We ordered fufu and okra soup and the pork belly combo... Holy cow, this was delicious! And she was super friendly and brought our food out to us. Happy to say we won’t be driving to KC for fufu and okra soup again since we can get it here with the same quality of excellence and deliciousness. .
Just want to say service is awesome. Such a sweetheart and food was great! Tasted the fufu and okra soup and fried plaintains with spicy coleslaw. Great! The crazy thing is I do not like coleslaw but her coleslaw paired with the fried plaintains is off the chain. If you ever eat here try eating the coleslaw on top of the plaintains. She even showed me how to properly eat the fufu and okra soup. Yum! Would definitely recommend.

Omg love love love her food!! Her fufu and egusi soup is amazing! So is her taso and pikliz or spicy coleslaw and plantains! ??????
Good food. Customer service is TERRIBLE. Was advised food be ready in 30 minutes it actually took 2 hours. Sat outside for 2 hours. Very expensive for one 2 pieces of griot
Food always so good.. btw call first before you head there..
This sweet, sweet lady was posted up at MHK brewing during a tornado warning. We all went to the basement and she served us free samples during the storm. We also bought food after we left the basement and it did not disappoint. She’s a hidden gem! Get out and support her she’s a sweetheart for sure!
Yesterday a friend of mine and I stopped by after hearing that she’d be serving stewed goat. We were so glad we did. The food was delicious. Its really nice to have another option in town.
