I went to the food truck when they had the grooves and grub in junction city. My food was STONE COLD the butter was so cold on my seafoos it was a gel and it was just plain GROSS no seasoning on the potatoes and the sausages tasted like they were cooked in water NO flavor AT ALL. I've heard such great things and I was so disappointed. I grew up by the ocean so I'm a seafood lover and my family is from the south so seafood boils are a family staple and I would of turned my nose up at that had I known it was gonna be like that especially since it took 3 hours. For what I paid I would of at LEAST liked hot food.

I requested the refund again on Sunday. They only refunded the 2nd box of food. Weirdest experience ever. I'll never order delivery from them again.Adding insult to injury, I bought her book and it never showed up. I got asked if it was sent, it wasn't. They said it would be. I asked for a refund and weeks later... still nothing.

Delicious! Fast, friendly service for to go orders and the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on the seafood either!ETA:They’ve since closed the store front and switched to a food truck while awaiting a new location. I went to a food truck event they participated in on 8/6/2020. I appreciate them, their food and what they do for the community. The event was supposed to start at 5. All the other vendors were ready. I was about 12th in line at 4:55. They were 20 minutes late to open. It took 30 minutes to order (expected, very popular). I was told they weren’t doing Salmon Mac and cheese as advertised, so I ordered something else. 10 minutes later someone ordered salmon and it was available. Then I waited an over an hour for food that never came. Multiple people were in the same boat and it seemed like the tickets were out of order. Others got their food super quickly. I cancelled my order at 7:20 and left hungry and disappointed. I’m hoping this was just a fluke, but I’m not sure when I will go to the food truck again, because it seems like a big risk and time investment with an uncertain reward.

There is nothing Chefy about the food there. A real chef devein the shrimp. Mac and cheese old. Kitchen nasty, and the chef looks dirty. Will never eat there again. Glad they closed down, I'm sure it was for health reasons.

I saw pictures of the food on Facebook and my mouth watered! I went in right away and got food. The bang bang Mac! It was very dry and had no flavor. It seemed like it was old Mac and cheese. After that, I gave it two more chances because I understand that something could have gone wrong in the recipe. It happens. But the food isn't as good as people said it was. I added crab the second time along with a Mac and cheese plate and the crab was too done and wasn't enjoyable. The third time and last time I tried with an open mind, it was just really gross and made my stomach hurt.

If you want fresh food cooked to order and great food consistency with every visit then The Chef and I is where you need to be. With The Chef and I there is always something spectacular popping up on the menu. VERY family friendly environment and great options for kids as well (that’s always a plus). The staff is welcoming and extremely inviting, awesome place to satisfy your cravings ! 5 stars , 10/10 !!!!!

Insanely good! The people are amazing and I’ve had ZERO issues, the prices are great especially for the quality of food you get. I love the variety and if you don’t follow the Facebook page they have set up you should, they update with what they have and what’s going on at the restaurant! Will be back for sure!!!

Ordered 1 crab boil, a shrimp boil and kids shrimp boil today. The corn was brown and sour on top of our food. My son took a bite of his first, then noticed the brown portions and the smell. He wouldn't eat his meal after that. It was on top of each of our meals. So, I called and told the person on the phone that I just wanted them to know that the corn was bad, smelled bad and they should probably check it and not give it out anymore. They said, "OK" and hung up on me. I just thought that was rude and poor customer service skills. It would have been nice if they would have simply said something like, "sorry about that, thank you for bringing that to our attention." I won't be back because of that especially, since I was nice about it. We'll just make our own seafood boils from now on.
