I was pretty excited about this place but honestly it is taking some steps backward. Paid $55 bucks for takeout yesterday with tip and honestly wasn't worth it. 3 sandwiches 3 sides. No tops for sides only foil so they spilled everywhere in the bag. They quit doing fries and tots, got rid of the soda fountain.

715 pm, closed.

Edited to add, the signs all read 11-8, not six as replied. It is the third time I have attempted to visit the restaurant and the third time it was closed during posted hours. When talking to locals, since I am visiting from our old state and wanted friends to experience real BBQ, even the locals who live less than 1 mile away have stopped trying to get food and they have never been able to catch them open, either. A one star review for not following or knowing your own signs is more than warranted. Business 101

Love their bbq! The sides are always good and fresh! Best burnt ends in town!

Brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends were absolutely delicious. Smoked cheesy corn and baked beans were also delicious. Im from out of town and on my way out I'm gonna get food to go! Awesome smoke flavor.

The best BBQ for miles and miles. So convenient to pick up a couple slabs of ribs when the family is coming to dinner. They are to die for.

Came by late and all they had left were the best smoked meatballs and pulled pork I’ve ever had, perfect bbq sauce by my count.

We’ve passed by this place entirely to many times since living here and boy we missed out! Best brisket, pulled pork, & turkey! AMAZING! 🤤

To much grease, to the point that the bread becomes soggy. We ordered at the front and sat down at a table, food was brought to us.

7/10 Burnt Ends (Brisket): Burnt ends are supposed to have some fat, but these had a little too much for my preferences. The meat itself was quite good!

7/10 Pulled Pork: The pulled pork is pretty good too, still a little bummed that the bread became soggy.

5/10 BBQ Sauce: Not my favorite. I prefer a sweet and flavorful BBQ sauce, this one has a slightly spicy and deeper smokier flavor. Please keep in mind I am not a professional BBQ sauce taster, but I’d love to see an alternative sauce provided to accommodate different tastes. With a different BBQ sauce from Q39 and Joe’s, which I tried with leftovers, the meat was even better!

8/10 BBQ Beans: Very delicious! I recall being told there wasn’t meat in it, if so I’d love to see some meat added to it!

Would love to see a Honey Mustard sauce! Biggest pain point for both meats was the pool of grease which made the experience of eating the meat not as enjoyable (orange grease in third photo).

Came in and got a couple of pulled pork sandwiches. Great meat and great sauce. While eating, one of the locals came in and bought every single rib they'd made that day. You know it's good when the locals buy you out.
