My favorite restaurant comes to Park Place and I’m so glad that it’s closer for us to dine

We made a reservation and showed up just to find out the place was closed. There was only a sign on the window and they weren’t answering calls. Not a great business strategy. Very disappointed.
Called and made a reservation for 6 for a special occasion
, we showed up and the place is closed. No call, no nothing. Handwritten sign on the window.
We really enjoyed the ambiance and the service was great. The food was delicious as well. They have a nice outdoor patio seating option as well as indoors

I lived in Paris for years and was very impressed by Aixois. My party of 3 enjoyed happy hour before eating dinner. We tried various wines, the Aixois 75, the hanger steak, some salads, and notably the blueberry tiramisu. It was all very well received. I appreciated the cultural representation in all aspects of the restaurant, especially how servers are attentive but not hovering and leave you to enjoy yourself. I also appreciated that the menu changes according to season and is clearly well thought out.
If you were to add an ashtray to every patio table, you wouldn't be able to tell if Aixois was in the US or France. Aixois is an immersive French dining experience and while I do understand how change can make us uncomfortable, if you aren't willing to try something new and keep an open mind, there is probably a Cheesecake Factory or an Applebee's not too far away.

The restaurant is very inviting. Earl, the server is excellent and I had two conversations with the manager and both of them were very pleasant. It is very sad that they did not get enough support to serve lunch. I have gone seven times for lunch. Always bringing someone who has not been there before. The first time I went it was just my daughter and I but we noticed the more we went more people were getting involved but evidently not enough to support the staff. There is an excellent selection for dinner. However, I rarely eat after 3:00 but I will probably make an exception.. The restaurant has been on 53rd for years and years. I hope the people in Leawood will support them.

We had such a disappointing experience here tonight. We’ve had great dinner and drinks up at the bar area in the past - even recommended it to friends. Tonight was much different. Extremely poor service and food. Nobody ever asked how anything was either so there was never an opportunity to correct it. We were pretty put off by the whole thing.
Easily one of my favorite spots to visit if I am wanting French food in Kansas City: Aixois! There are two Aixois locations in the Kansas City metro and BOTH offer delicious plates. I love to order the homemade chicken, mushrooms, and egg fettuccine pasta as well as the grilled hangar steak served with peppercorn sauce, a salad, and pomme frites. The calamari appetizer is an absolute HIT! Aixois also has a wonderful patio to enjoy your meal on. They also have a stellar happy hour menu! We love going to Aixois, and we hope you do too!

Everything was delicious from the bread to the chocolate crème brûlée! Would recommend the calamari (really tender) and French onion soup! Quiche was also very good and husband had a burger that he fully enjoyed. Service was also excellent. They also have a good happy hour, even on Saturday! We’ll be back!

My girlfriend and I have been wanting to come here since it opened last year but never did. However, today was the day we finally decided to eat dinner here.
The ambiance within the restaurant felt relaxing. Definitely set the mood for a comfortable dining experience. Our server asked where we wanted to sit which we appreciated. We were then guided to our table.
We were then greeted by Alana who is very kind and attentive. She checked in on us several times during our experience and helped us with our menu options. This service is an excellent example of top tier quality. I decided to order the Filet Mignon, Pomme Frites, and Aixois 75.
The Filet Mignon has good flavor, juicy, and tender. The pairing of the mashed potatoes and vegetable du jour were excellent and complimented this dish nicely. The Pommes Frites were good. It had a unique flavor which I wasn't able to fully grasp, but it was good nonetheless. The Aixois 75 was sweet and had great flavor.
Overall, I am pleased with my experience. The service was spectacular and the food made the experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend everyone to come here to try out their food items.

So happy that they added a location south. Great spot in Park Place with delicious bistro type food.
Happy hour is excellent as well.
We had oysters (came with a nice minuet), fries, burger and some wine. Our daughter had the fresh pasta with Parmesan and butter and it looked tasty.
