I really like their main meals like the breakfast bowls and salads/bowl type dishes. Really great flavors and fresh ingredients, if on the expensive side. The bakery is gluten free which is probably great for gluten avoiders but I personally wish they embraced the gluten. I just can't get that excited about gluten free baked goods. They can get super busy on weekends and slow/backed up but overall service is pretty good.

One of my all-time favorite places! I’ll choose it for a birthday lunch, a coffee out with others or for a call ahead and pick up! So grateful for the raw bars that have no refined sugars and are delicious and a healthier option. So grateful for all of the gluten-free options!! Definitely makes eating out a lot easier.

My personal favorites are the Jasmine tea latte, Brekkie potatoes, the payday bar and the snickers … and the Thai bowl with added gluten-free fried chicken 👀

… basically everything here is a hit!

An all time favorite spot! So grateful to have a space with an abundance of gluten free options and non-alcoholic beverages.

Gluten free bakery items were tasty. Tons of variety. Tried the egg roll bowl. Delicious but would have liked a bit more peanut sauce. Truffle fries were amazing.

This was my first trip to Billie's. A friend that has gluten issues recommended and I had no problem finding something I liked.
I ordered the Thai Bowl with Chicken. Very good and a huge portion. This is a wonderful place for people that have issues finding foods to fit their needs.

I ordered the chicken harissa sandwich. It was not edible. One of the employees noticed I ate one bite and asked if I liked it and I said no. She took my plate and said sorry, but they didn’t offer to substitute the meal. I left and after paying $25.00 for a latte (it was ok) and a sandwich I did not eat.
Really disappointing and expensive experience. I will not be returning.

The charcoal latte with a shot of espresso was not too sweet. The gluten-free frosted sugar cookie was pretty good. The coconut macaroon was alright. The Turkish eggs were pretty good. However, it's a bit expensive for the portion sizes. At least it was nice inside and it sold some things.

My partner and I visited Billie’s Grocery in Leawood this past Saturday for brunch. We had high hopes based on the Midtown location—but this visit was a letdown.
Both of our meals arrived ice cold.
Her Charcoal Lemon coffee? Incredibly bland.
Her blueberry cupcake—also completely flavorless.
I didn’t complain on the spot; we quietly left disappointed.

I reached out to them via their “Contact Us” page—not expecting a free meal, just hoping they’d show they cared. Instead, their response thanked me for my feedback and invited us to come back. That’s it—no apology, no explanation, no effort to make things right. Not even a token gesture.

We’ll not be returning to Leawood. And after that response, we’re reconsidering Midtown too.

There are plenty of excellent brunch spots in KC. I can’t recommend this one based on what we experienced.
