Absolutely amazing spicy chili wontons for a starter and then as a special (not on the menu) tried these spicy crispy buns with chicken. I hope these make it on the full menu permanently. If not, I'm just gonna keep asking for them everytime I go! So delicious.

Everything here is truely wonderful and authentic and can be all levels of spice. Very very good dumplings, noodles, duck, and assortment of teas and boba teas. A real gem. š Glad they are still making this wonderful food. They also are SUPER for carry out. Always hot and fresh and packaged properly, so it is good at home too.

Still my #1 Chinese restaurant in KC. Stopped in with my mom for a late lunch and ordered the Chili Pepper Wontons (chicken, shrimp, and pork)āthese are hands-down the best wontons Iāve ever had. The sauce (chili oil, scallion, soy, cilantro) is absolutely unrealāpure umami.
Always go for pan-fried dumplingsācrisp on the outside, rich and juicy inside. There are 8 in a serving, which is generous enough to be a meal. We also ordered a pot of jasmine tea, which is fragrant, loose-leaf, and the perfect calm caffeine lift.
Whether itās takeout or dine-in, Blue Koi always delivers. Added a couple photosābecause this dish deserves to be seen. 5 stars, no question.

This place is worth visiting when you have a little more in your budget. You will not leave hungry here. The portions ate good. Tea is brewed not out of pre-made machine. Everything was great. Service was wonderful. Everything was out fast and correct. I do wish they had some real spice options. But it's Chinese not Thai. Other than that nothing to critique. It is $20 a entree. But great for a special occasion. Get there early, they get busy.

We have never had fresh dumplings, Iām so glad we did. The fresh vegetable were delicious. I also had the herbal tea, touch of sweetness with a calm feeling. Our server was a delight, knowledgeable and very friendly. We had a great time!
For my daughterās 13th bday she requested we go to Blue Koi- a restaurant her friend had raved to her about. I had never heard of it, but I was instantly impressed. GREAT dumplings. I had the spicy chili wonton dumplings ($13 for 8 of them). Honestly, for the more upscale level of the restaurant, the prices werenāt awful. Four of us ate wonderful meals with differing pots of hot teas for less than $80. The menu is vegetarian heavy, but as a meat eater like myself there are plenty of good options.

There are a number of vegan options on the menu. I had a tofu based meal which was cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer too! Will definitely go there again! ļæ¼ #Veganuary
