The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The environment is not high-end if that is what you are looking for. There is limited seating. Although they have outdoor seatu g when the weather is nice. However it is extremely quiet outside and other diners can hear your conversation unless you whisper. The drinks are amazing. The sushi and food is all made fresh. I would have given the service a 5 star but they have a VERY arrogant and haute young waitress. We moved from her section to the bar and had a much better experience.

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had; I always eat here when I’m in town and crave it when I’m away. Some of my favorites: kun pun chicken, jam bong, pad thai, calamari, rangoon, sushi rolls: crazy monkey, south pacific, thai salmon and gaijin.

Ika is from the original owners of Red Snapper, which was a years long favorite for my wife and I. Well made and presented Sushi. Even though it is not mentioned on the menu I understand that most dishes can be made gluten free if requested, which was part of what kept bringing us back to Red Snapper.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free preparation by request.

The food is really good, but sometimes it lacks flavor. I ordered the Super Tiger roll, and it really didn't taste like much. If you want something with more flavor, get something else. The service is alright, sometimes they can be a little angry though. I enjoy the atmosphere, the lighting is pretty nice. Do not go here if you aren't expecting to spend quite a bit of money though, as it has gotten pretty expensive.
Ika Grill is one of only a handful of sushi restaurants in the KC Metro area that we keep going back to. The sushi is always fresh. There is a wide variety of sushi rolls. They have changing special rolls which are a treat and should always be tried. If you're looking for an appetizer, get the Smoked Salmon Rangoon. These are a twist on the classic Crab Rangoon and are delicious!The staff are great as well. They are very attentive and also willing to offer suggestions if you're trying to decide between sushi rolls.

I really liked this place! The service is excellent, they are attentive but not pushy and there was no rushing us. I had sushi that was so fresh and the Pad Thai was delish! The portions were so large I had plenty to bring home.
